Oh man! Sorry to hear about your new truck Bob! Glad you did not get hit on the bike! Those deer are so unpredictable and flighty. They sometimes are hard to see on the sides of the road as they blend in with the foliage. Enjoy the holidays with your family! Happy Thanksgiving! 😊
Glad it was the RAM instead of the Harley! Still sucks. We have a very large deer population around me and hitting one on a bike terrifies me. Glad you’re safe.
Glad you didn’t hit it on the motorcycle. Sorry about the new truck. It’s that time of year for the deer to eat that green grass along side of the road.
When I was in Michigan I was always on the lookout for deer. The route I took back and forth to work was all farm land and in the fall everything was moving. Haven't seen much down here. Happy Thanksgiving Bob
Hey Bob, that really sucks. Damage can always can be repaired, you cannot so easily. I have never seen so many deer as South Ga. They are everywhere. Be save and keep the rubber down.
Dear me Bob; I'm so glad you weren't riding when that dear hit you in your new truck, bummer about the truck though. Reminded me of an incident in the late 80's in my van. Two deer ran out in front of me; one just behind the other. I was gonna hit the second deer when it jumped into the air, and sprang off the roof of my van, into the field and trotted off without a care in the world. Don't know what constitutes poaching on your side of the pond, but in England, If i'd hit and killed that deer, stopped and put it in the back of my van, I'd be guilty of poaching. However. If the vehicle in front hits and kills a pheasant or deer and the vehicle behind stops and takes the road kill then that is legal. Main thing is your ok. Enjoy thanksgiving in Texas Bob. Stay safe man. Neil from England.
Glad the deer didn't hit you on your motorcycle Bob !!
I've thought the same thing.

Just a thing my friend, but I don't want to hunt anymore in or on a vehicle. Happy Thanksgiving.

Georgia is almost as bad as the Midwest. This one just caught me by surprise. Happy Thanksgiving.
There's a lot of deer out there you at least here in Northern Indiana also..
Same down here sir.

It's sure a wake up call Ray. Have a great Thanksgiving.
I did the same thing in August 2023. Bike was fine and I only got a broken neck. I've hit one every year for the past 5 years.
