Great story, Bob, of people going out of their way to help you. Too bad you didn’t mention what happened to your tire. That was the whole reason I was listening to the whole video. It was a long story only to never find out what happened to the tire. However, I went through some of the comments and found out. Whew! That was a long story. Beautiful Motorcycle by the way.

Man, what a trip of trials and tribulations! I'm glad you had a friend who was willing & able to come get ya! As for your bags... there was probably extra baggage room on the plane, but not extra people room, so your bags went without you. Ride safe!

My wife and I are going to Eastern North Carolina in May. We will probably haul our bikes there for convenience. In July 7 of us are planning a trip to Alaska. We will ride the whole trip there. Hopefully it will all work out!! Would like to meet you sometime as well.

I missed a NY Day too!! I thought what a great way to bring in the new year riding on my motorcycle. Time just got away with me. SOOOO nice you got to see your great grandchild. They sure have energy and keep the kid inside us.

Sometimes it seems like a case of the left hand not knowing, or caring, what the right hand is doing. Happy New Year Bob my friend! We did get to do our ride it was 39 degrees but we made it work. Glad you got to see the family, it makes the world go around. Had the whole family at my house Christmas Eve. Love those kids. Sorry, I hate flights also. No electronic windshield on the Wing I bought. It has reverse, which is very cool. For me, the biggest selling point of the Goldwing is that I’m familiar with it, and because I ride the twistys the way I do, the Goldwing fits me perfectly!

Finding the right bike, it’s just fantastic!!! I absolutely love my Goldwing, it does everything I want it to!!! The Vstrom is perfect for me to ride the tame dirt roads that I do….

I’ve had three bikes in the last bunch of years, would have only been the two if….

I am thankful for all I’ve got! It was in the teens at my house on Sunday!

That's a lot of bikes you've had in a few years! I still feel attachment to my Spyder Girl...2018...we shared so much together! Love the looks of the Heritage!

I love my ultras, plus I have worked them long enough to be quite nimble with it. I think that’s the key more than anything, to be comfortable and able to maneuver the bike. If you ride single there is really no need for the tour pack. It adds so much when 2 up

Not sure how I missed the Bike you have, but I am digging the color. I am with you on the gadgets that Harley adds to keep up with the times, I like it also 🙂 RSMF.

Bob, you have had 4 bikes since I have known you and I am still riding my 2012 Wing, "Bullitt" HAHAHA Plan on coming to TN in the spring and lets do some riding like the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway

Agree, respect to anyone who rides on two wheels. One of the great things about motorcycles these days is a bad one is very rare indeed. What a great choice, Wing or Harley. So many factors can make a particular model our favorite. Marque loyalty might be one of the more common reasons perhaps. Six cylinders or V twin, shaft or belt and many other things too. Harley of course has it's family of motorcycles, Sportster, Tour Glide, Herritage etc. What a choice; folk will have their favorites from this list too; you pays your money etc. Whichever marque or type of motorcycle you ride, ENJOY and ride safe. It is a nice color. Glad you're happy with the bike. @bodean52 and @Motoramblings are both excellent channels! If everyone rode the same motorcycle, it would be pretty boring.

I do not miss my Road Glide at all. I love my Heritage its an icon with Harley....I wish they didn't change the look, but my cruiser my Heritage, is fabulous on long hauls....and heck for across the country well that is what my toy hauler is for. Comfort and ease as I am aging works for me. I am glad your touring model works for you. I do miss my TPMS lol they need to put that on the softails LOL

I did the same thing in August 2023. Bike was fine and I only got a broken neck. I've hit one every year for the past 5 years.

Oh man! Sorry to hear about your new truck Bob! Glad you did not get hit on the bike! Those deer are so unpredictable and flighty. They sometimes are hard to see on the sides of the road as they blend in with the foliage. Enjoy the holidays with your family! Happy Thanksgiving! 😊

Hey Bob, that really sucks. Damage can always can be repaired, you cannot so easily. I have never seen so many deer as South Ga. They are everywhere. Be save and keep the rubber down.

Dear me Bob; I'm so glad you weren't riding when that dear hit you in your new truck, bummer about the truck though. Reminded me of an incident in the late 80's in my van. Two deer ran out in front of me; one just behind the other. I was gonna hit the second deer when it jumped into the air, and sprang off the roof of my van, into the field and trotted off without a care in the world. Don't know what constitutes poaching on your side of the pond, but in England, If i'd hit and killed that deer, stopped and put it in the back of my van, I'd be guilty of poaching. However. If the vehicle in front hits and kills a pheasant or deer and the vehicle behind stops and takes the road kill then that is legal. Main thing is your ok. Enjoy thanksgiving in Texas Bob.
