*1 YEAR LATE IK* He might as well not be. The character is legitimately unfinished. The worst shield in the game (DK’s shield looks big in comparison) and can’t perform tricks that all other characters can

@Videogames888 I never said that he was...I never even played Melee. I've mained Ganondorf since Brawl, Smash 4, and now and he has gotten significantly better from his Brawl and Smash 4 versions.

I think every competitive melee player should learn to play a lower tier character. People usually don’t play against lower tiers often so if you can learn to beat higher tier characters with a low tier then you can have some amazing counters.

If Pichu didn't inflict so much damage on himself he'd be a pretty good character. Very fast, fairly strong kill option(s), amazing combo game on fast fallers, amazing recovery, a tricky projectile, practically no landing lag even without L canceling, small hurtbox... He's got all of the tools, he's just too easy to kill.

Melon Lord well pichu's poked ex entry does say that he hasn't had practice controlling his electricity and sometimes shocks itself! It is surprising that Sakurai knew that! XD
Event without the self-harm Pichu would only be low to low-mid tier.
As someone who loves playing as him, his damage output is too low and doesnt have enough disjoint to protect himself from being walled out by majority of the top/high tiers except maybe Pika.

I’ve played every smash except for this one, but I’ve seen several videos on melee. This is the first time I’ve ever seen bowser in melee.
Bowser is incredibly bad because he does just about everything slower then everyone example: fox’s jump takes 3 frames to get airborne where bowser takes 7 frames
Sorry it takes 8 frames which is almost 3x as long just to jump one of the most basic movement options
It's always nice to see someone who almost always plays as one of these "elite" characters like Fox, Falco, Marth, or Captain Falcon get it handed to them by a character they don't deem "good enough" to play as themselves.
The characters are objectively worse
It's way easier to be good with top tiers than with low tiers. Also these are all terrible examples, most of what makes a player good at top level is their mind games which transfer over to low tiers. Notice that all the clips in this video aren't actually from low tier mains. They're all top players using secondaries.

The third game with the guy playing agaisnt Ness'Hbox was just amazed. It was amazing to see a player having fun while losing in the competitive scene.
