I always loved the way track and field and road running embraces and even celebrates senior athletes. I ran and competed and was otherwise involved (helping organize, officiating, etc) in the sport into my 40s, then got away from it as my wife and I dove into a different sport. Being a senior now these men make me want to return to the track. It’s just at this age it is so hard to get back to the point physically where running is enjoyable again.
