- The Cartel text threat Scam or the virtual kidnapping scam is a not so new but trending scam which exploits the fear of individuals targeted.
In this video I explained everything you need to know about it and the ways to prevent being targeted which such scams.

My friend got it once I would probably call them and troll them tell you the truth and berating them for being stupid enough to believe that people would believe them to drug cartel would call them over the phone are people really that dumb that they think people would fall for the scam I'm sure some people do but I doubt the drug cartel make a home call you think they would put actions into something instead of morning I'm pretty sure I doubt they give warnings
I probably would do that though then when they make further threat I would be like yeah right as if and then I would just hang up

Lol... People fall for it depending on their location. Some locations are actually filled with cartel, so they might be scared when they receive this

Thank you so much for posting this informative video this just happened to me this morning and I did report it to the police... I didn't know what to do because they were threatening my family and they sent my address and told me that I had to give them $5,000 or they would kill me and my family..... I have been an absolute wreck all morning I've been receiving threatening texts graphic pictures and videos.... But as I've been doing a little research online I'm starting to see what is actually going on.... I got a call asking about a car crash I was in. I haven’t been in a car crash before so I knew it was a scam. I told them I lost my voicebox in the crash. They didn’t even hang up they tried to keep it going 😂

How do you know someone stole your identity and is that dangerous?
It is dangerous... They could use it to steal your benefits, impersonate you etc.
I think you should consider getting the identity theft solution I linked in the description. It will show you if your identity has been stolen and where it's been utilized

I received threatening texts after talking with a online romance but they made threatening texts to me and family members and had specific names an address but I'm just ignoring it about a year now so nothing happened I did not report to police I don't know if I still should I told one person about it which is my husband he said ignore it

I was a victim too, i just blocked the number and went back to bed. If it were actually real they wouldn't warn you. And I also have registered firearms throughout my house so they can try it if they want.

Yes. But it seems your number is somewhere online and accessible. Consider keeping your number private. Check all your social media platforms
First of all cartel will never text you for money only if you are related to cartel then you will get this type of stuff but they won't randomly text anyone .

Happened to me yesterday. Was visiting family in a little farm village in Croatia, bumfuck middle of nowhere having a coffee on a nice day. Dude named Carlos (you know, Carlos, very common name in Balkans) texts me from a Croatia number saying I owe 900 euros and if I don't pay I will die and that his Mexican cartel men had me surrounded xD. My mind wasted no time realizing this was bs.

I did what you said not to. To be honest these people receiving these texts are not random. They have been engaged in pornography or escort sites. I immediately replied f u. And continued telling them I had their IP and I was coming after them. It stopped. Lol

Because the girls are in on it and regardless they use it as an excuse to say ‘you wasted the cartel’s time’ by not meeting with her, if ‘her’ even exists. The cartels only kill there own, they need americans for their tourist attractions in Mexico, because the cartels own/tax all the tourist areas
