    My wife and I were in Panana for Nov & Dec '19.
    We liked Boquete but really liked Volcan ! Was there a reason that Volcan was not mentioned ?
    You gave a great verbal report on these 6 places, but if I may suggest, I (and maybe others too), would
    prefer seening video footage and maps of what you were talking about. Even having been to Panama, I find it amazing to follow along seeing places to get a better idea of possible places to retire.
    Keep up the good work.
    I have produced radio & tv pgms for 45 years and looking to retire.
    Ya'll stay safe and healthy.

    I cannot even believe I am alive here in Panama. I am living on Avenida Balboa with a full view of the Pacific Ocean and the activities of the Panama Canal.

    Your information is great your presentation not so good it would’ve taken nothing to use a movie map to show where all these locations are up your game it will benefit you and your listeners

    One of the many problems no one addresses is the Panamanian currency. Although Panama has its own currency (the Balboa), however, Panama also uses the U.S. dollar. The Balboa to U.S. dollar exchange rate is 1-to-1, which doesn't make since when it comes to GDP. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Panama was worth 52.94 billion US dollars in 2020. Compare that to the U.S. GDP in 2020 at $20.93 trillion. So how did the 1-to-1 exchange rate balance off? Someone with subject matter expertise in economy explain this...I am not convinced that Panama is the best or most beneficial place to retire.

      @arashbernal8501 3 года назад +2

      Hello Don, I believe yes, I have seen various on sale in the area of Clayton. Howard which is part of the Panama Pacífico area is being developed as a special area for logistics and businesses in there benefit from some lower tax, there are nice housing options there too. One part of the Canal Zone area that I like a lot is Gamboa, there you will find houses some with views of the Chagres River! it is super quiet, full of nature, and close to the city, saw houses here for sale at the beginning of this year, should definitely check it out.

      @@donfrank4429 Yeah, a "Panama Eye" and some other attractions were in the plans to attract more people to this area few years ago, not sure how that's going now though. If you're not a subscriber of In Focus Panama, I'd say you can start by subscribing to this free newsletter on everything Panama: www.liveandinvestoverseas.com/category/in-focus-panama/ , and if you're serious about moving to Panama, you can attend our Panama Virtual conference in January (registrarion opens this week). Attending the conference is a good way to make connections, which is something particularly important here to avoid pitfalls. All the best with your plans!

      @don frank
      You might find the answer to your question of "how" at PanamaRelocationTours.com - they do private tours for $200 per person per day (plus $100 per extra person per day) and will take you anyplace you want to see or go including to an immigration office to file the necessary paperwork for getting permanent residency if you want.
      Worth looking into.
