    I don't know how but you are the first teacher that made watching a video about math fun, I think it's because you focused on getting us to understand the concept enough to make learning it more understandable. You made the video very long as well to make it so that we can take in all the info naturally, lol maybe it's just me but the way you did it worked really well.

    What a blessing! You teach mathematics the way I was taught many years ago. You help me to gain confidence and I become excited about learning. These days, instructors only want to get through the lessons on a time crunch, leaving those who don't quite understand in the dirt. The "modern" textbooks even seem to be ego-driven, with vague verbiage and missing steps in the problem solving process.
    Thank you so much, Mr. Whitt. Thank you for bringing the beauty back to mathematics.

    Question, how do we get the range? I completely understand the domain. Do we simply isolate "x" and do the same with "y"?

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  5 лет назад

      The simplest way for me is to graph the function, the range describes the lowest values of y to the highest values. Otherwise, you’ll need to find the end behavior, holes, horizontal asymptote, local and absolute extrema to master range. Definitely worth a video! 👨🏾‍🏫😀

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  8 лет назад

      +Science nerd No, you can't. The difference is the domain restriction, you can't take the even root (square root) of a negative number while in seven you're avoiding having zero in the denominator.

    • @FortBendTutoring
      @FortBendTutoring  9 лет назад

      16 isn't solved for because it can not restrict the variable nor can it cause the equation to become undefined. The only restriction that this function has is that you can't have a negative value under the square root sign. Which is why you only focus on the radicand.

Also, can you make a video about ranges or what y can and cannot be. If you already have, please send me a link to the video.
