People forget, these guys wrote songs for many major artists, including Michael Jackson's Thriller Album. It was Steve Lukather that got Eddie Van Halen to do the Beat It Solo
I believe Steve Porcaro was the only member of Toto to receive a writing and publishing credit on thriller album for Human Nature. The other guys were just players on the thriller record, and Steve Lukather is bitter he did not. lol
@@davidmiles533 Probably it was an honour for both sides. There are interviews on RUclips with Toto-members, telling they were very nervous before the MJ-sessions, but face to face they soon got relaxed.
He is good very good (drummer)! But if you're Lukather you have to go out and find a great drummer to tour with because Pocaro was one of the greatest drummers of all time
Joseph Williams is still one of the best vocalist's I've ever seen. He said in an interview that he trains every day to keep his voice strong and in key.
GEN X, 1965! " TOTO" & " JOURNEY" my favorite bands.Hats off to Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams, Sput Searight, Steve Maggiora, Xavier Taplin,Warren Ham and John Pierce!🎩 You guys ROCK! I've been waiting to see "TOTO" in my hometown N LITTLE Rock, Arkansas and my dream has come true! #missingJeffMikeStevePorcaro #missingDavidPaich Thank you for staying on the " Yellow Brick Road."
The musicianship of these guys ( and every version of Toto ) simply blows me away. Great solo Luke. How you can still move your fingers like that at the end of a world tour and at 64 is beyond me.
Eso es cierto, he leido algunos comentarios en twitter e instagram de personas que dicen que fueron a los conciertos solo por journey pero que quedaron impresionados y enamorados por Toto
I love TOTO.. I like their music, gives me goosebumps!! Often times I listen to I'll be over you and the music video is so heartfelt and capturing my soul.... Joseph William's voice from LEA is so genuine, soulful and clear.. Steve Lukather's performance at the 1990's I'll be over you live in Montreux is steady and so manly. Overall,TOTO is one of the best!
That wasn't a concert, that was a frickin party on a stage. There wasn't any showing off, the musicianship spoke for itself. They're such consumate performers they appeared to be effortlessly having fun and that made it all the more entertaining
Oh wow! Must have been a helluva concert. ‘Africa’ is by far the best song ever written/performed. The harmonies, the guitars, the rhythm section, the keyboards…all super fantastic!
Wow this is a rarity treat in the last several years seeing these guys perform anywhere in the United States. Enjoy and appreciate very much seriously these performers the opportunity God has given us while they are still alive. So many humans whether personally close to us or those who entertain are gone in the last 20-30 years.
Toto sounds great. Joseph Williams is sounding better than ever, I used to think he had a thin sound but he sounds much richer and does justice to the Bobby Kimball songs.
@@bigelile07 As I mentioned above, if we are talking about the men in their youth, I would agree. But a 74 year old Kimball could not handle this tour, so Williams is from the Toto bloodlines and can handle the tour respectably.
@@davidgreen2369 Bobby has been going downhill for years, decades actually, and I never suggested that he should be touring with Toto. You said he was doing Kimball justice, I disagree. To each their own.
That is one hell of a tight band. Geez they sound awesome... Congrats to the new guys, and SO happy to see the talent and friendship of Steve and Jo live through the years
Joe Williams is a great singer and great front man but he will never match Bobby Kimball’s vocal skills or range- especially back in Bobby’s prime. I like Joe though but he will never equal Bobby Kimball’s ability. I think Joe once admitted this too.
They sound great !I hope you guys come to Louisville or close. Toto is one of the few groups I would take a road trip to see. Joseph sounds great & Steve always delivers on guitar. (one of the best)

Thanks for posting as I couldn’t make the show ( south jersey ). Glad to see my all time fave band getting love from the US crowds . They headline arenas like this overseas every tour . Band is a new incarnation due to Lukather and Paich being sued by the Porcaro widows . Sad but reality . They have a few more hits that they didn’t play due to time I guess . Toto is much more than their hits though .The original band with Jeff Porcaro and then Simon Philips is hard to top but Luke and Joe carry on . . Check out their deep cuts when you get a chance . EVH once said “ Toto is collectively the best musicians on the planet “…. Great compliment from Lukather’s dear late friend …
I didn't know about the lawsuit. Toto as always been about Lukather, a singer that can sing those songs, great musicians, and those songs! Man, those songs! Timeless!!
the concerts of the 2022 tour include only 10 songs ... it is true that age does not allow marathons, but .. I will be there in Verona ... let's hope for the best ..
these guys deserve a ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke these days.
definitely boss
Lukather 💯 %

I watched a video recently where he talked about working with a vocal coach for two years to improve his voice for Toto.
He doesn't hold a candle to Kimball. Rosanna was terrible and Africa was just okay. This is like a Toto cover band.
