- Are you an instructor looking for a way to teach more effectively using Zoom? With Zoom's most recent update you are now able to use a PowerPoint slideshow as a virtual background during your meetings. Now, rather having to share your screen and worry about whether your students can see you or not, you are able to layer your camera on top of your slide deck. In this video, Adam will walk you through all of the steps to begin using this new feature!

Thank you, very clear and concise presentation
Great video when using Pp Prez as virtual background, do the animations/transitions work? I can’t seem to find an answer for this. Thank you in advance
Wow nicely explained sir, really its very useful for me
Happy to hear that. Thanks for watching!
it won't record that way....I sincerely hope that zoom will perfect this....the recording of the meeting has only the powerpoint (or, in my case, Keynote) slides. Pretty disappointing....
This is available on the updated Zoom, very cool. I'm just disappointed that this PPT as Background feature does not accommodate being able to write over it like in the basic feature. Also, I can't get my slides in Zoom to keep the original setting of each paragraph sliding in with an animation. I have seen presenter do it though, just need to find out how. Please advise, thanks!
Agreed. Hopefully the feature will evolve in the future and allow writing on the slides. As to your issue with the animations, according to Zoom "sound, transitions, or animations embedded in slides are not supported." The presenters you see using animations, may be using a different software to record their presentations.
Is this applicable If there's a lot of people in one camera? Hoping for an answer. Thank you :)
Hi so I've followed all of the online how to's for sharing a virtual powerpoint. Once it finishes uploading it will say that there are X number of slides/pages, but as I go through each slide it doesn't change to the next slide. So for example, all 13 pages will be the exact same. How can I fix this so it plays my entire powerpoint?
We've yet to experience this issue, but here are somethings you can try:
Make sure you are using the < > buttons in Zoom to move between slides, the arrow keys on your keyboard will not work.
Also, try reducing your PP slideshow to 12 slides, we've heard some people have issues when their presentation is more than 12 slides.
Lastly, try deleting any animations or transitions out of your presentation, as Zoom does not support them.
And of course, be sure to update the Zoom application and your computer OS to the most up-to-date versions.
If none of those things work, I'd reach out to Zoom Support and see if they can help solve your issue. The feature is relatively new so there many be underlying issues that you're unable to troubleshoot on your own.
My powerpoint virtual background not working
Is there a minimum spec of processor like i5 6th gen ?
Yes, Zoom virtual background require specific specs. You can find a list of them here: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360043484511
Thumbs up!
Thanks for the visit!

Thanks for watching Martin!
I see the option but its greyed out...what does that mean?
Usually when the option is greyed out it means that the feature is disabled at either the group or account level. You will need to contact your Zoom administrator to unlock the feature.
@@ITProTv its my own personal acct. There is no "administrator "
I too have similar problem.
