That, plus, in the Season 0 content/original manga, Kaiba's experience with his Shadow Game got him obsessed to recreate the experience so that everyone can feel the thrill of battling in a similar way, but safer and less damaging to the soul. In essence, Yami got him hooked to the Shadow Duel and Kaiba wanted to find a way to make it available for everyone.
Yugi Atb:Dark Type Spellcaster/effect When Yugi is summoned and Kaiba is on the other side of the field attack him directly for all his LP even if its the first turn.
Honestly i will gladly take an approach of a match like this, then things just devolving into every single dueliest having to get an incomplete archetype (multiple times per duelist in less then 10 back-to-back episodes too boot) of a handful of cards whenever a duel starts that never sees actual support for years and either is so terribly designed it could never be made into an actual deck or it can pair up with another generalisticlly simple archetype that breaks the game even worst then a yatagarasu lock that somehow mixes in a cold wave and multiple hand discard effects and cause all cards in the graveyard to be offlimits either by RFG`ing them or something. Yugi deciding to just take the physical violence approach just screams season 0 approach, to just settling the problem in a more `straightforward game` o brawling instead.

Thats about all I can personally remember from that point. It was after that the card game was introduced and Kaiba kidnapped the grandpa. The whole chainsaw thing was when Yugi and team went to rescue him. Kaiba setup several traps and challenges for them to do before they got to him.
I seriously love that DA used the 4kids soundtrack of kaiba's theme for this video. Despite all the flak we gave 4kids I'm amazed at how much love people give for yugioh
4Kids censored a lot of the series. And altered some characters (Kaiba actually accepts magic is real), and plenty of just bad dialog (one of LK longest running jokes is "actual 4Kids dialog"). But they also gave us the intro, Dan Green as Yugi, and Eric Stuart as Kaiba. Honestly, their voice picks were all great. Plus, most of us would have probably never seen the series without them. So yeah, I wouldn't want them dubbing anime as a rule, but they still gave us something worth remembering fondly.
