Many thanks AG! Winter is approaching in South Africa and I love your videos for warm food also soups from previous videos. Blessings always from South Africa ❤❤❤❤🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Exactly, slow & steady wins the race. Excellent meal ideas. 👍
TFS AG, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤🙂🐶
Yesterday I made soup from dehydrated veggies, can of beef broth and a can of Minestrone. Turned out pretty good.
Sounds great!
Some good ideas here, A.G. Thank you, and God Bless! Cheers!
Great video thanks again Alasking Granny ❤
I buy ice chests at auctions and garage sales usually for a couple of dollars. They are cheaper than totes..more durable and can be used as an ice chest if needed. Storing stuff in them is easy.
Great tip
Thanks!👍
Cool idea
Great tips...I always get olives, sun dried tomatoes, and artichoke hearts when I see them on sale. They're good in hot pasta dishes, or good cold in pasta salad. I get the jars of roasted red peppers as well.
Sounds great!
Thank you A G
These ideas are stellar! Thank you!
You're so welcome!
Thank youuu❤AG🌹👏🏼🥰GOD BLESS YOU✝️❤
Blessings to you, too!!
Good tips , thanks for sharing YAH bless !
Beef stew over barley...Hormel pepperoni around pineapple chunks...Instant espresso with mint hot chocolate=Caribou's mint condition mocha...Corn meal mush with Rotel tomatoes and diced chilis on top...Cream of chicken soup (undiluted) without a can of tuna or chicken over minute rice (or regular rice) Comfort food of my childhood. I forgot applesauce with cinnamon red hots...

Been crazy busy.. still enjoying your videos. Thanks again 🤠
Hi.alaskan granny. My name is Rick Larose and I live in Vermont. I'm single and I am a prepper. I enjoy your videos and ideas. I have been a prepper for about ten years now. I have noticed an alarming trend lately that I wanted to share with you. There are a bunch of people out there that call themselves preppers but are not really. We call them wolf preppers. They don't really stock pile anything except guns and ammo. If shtf they plan on killing real peppers and taking our supplies. It's become a very sad world when people are to lazy to even bother stockpiling food and supplies for emergencies. That's the kind of things our generation learned early. Always save for a rainy day . Just wanted to tip you off.
Thanks so much.
Those are good suggestions for quick and easy to prepare meals. One idea I’d like to add, some of the food companies are reducing the ingredients in some of their products. Might be good to spot check things like canned soup, stews and chili including brands you have bought in the past because we’ve noticed the amount of meat for example could be less now compared to those from just a few months ago and that’s an important factor to know when it comes to knowing how much nutrition you’re getting.
Great tip! I have noticed some familiar foods are lacking flavor.
You always have the best suggestions. I am going to organize my food items for meals as you suggested. Love your commonsense and upbeat videos. Been a long time fan❤
Thank you!
I opened a can of potatoes and made two dinners from it. I wanted to try the taste before I got more, and you know what? The taste was okay, so I am ready to buy more! Thanks for your menu ideas, AG! You are a real heroine to me!
That is awesome!
Good ideas. Today I am having Vienna Sausage cold from the can as I have no electricity. Having an off grid cooker would be better, of course, for a longer time. Having a way to run my freezers too. I don't believe in solar to save money but I like it for these occasions or SHTF
You are a trooper, making the best of whatever comes your way. I hope your electricity is back on soon.
@@AlaskaGranny Oh, thanks. You're always kind. Energy was back up by the end of the day, as expected. It was just nice to think once more about energy independence.
I am trying to get a house, hopefully things work out, governments love to be on the way of people who don't want to spin the wheel by working as employees and take a mortgage. Whenever you go with your own savings to do something they keep asking tons of questions and making your life difficult, even if you saved resources for decades to be able to also stop feeding the system by not paying rent anymore (which generates taxes).
People talk about the "you will own nothing" issue but that's not something planned for the future, but something already implemented through many policies since the 90's, at least. Can't change the water temperature too quickly, right?
We'll win, somehow. Stay strong on your end as well! 🙏🏻
Went into Dollar Tree and the shelves were just about bare!! I grabbed some soup stock, canned vegetables, noodles and canned chicken. Soup in a pinch.
Glad you could find some food for your pantry.
@@AlaskaGranny Summer is arriving, and travellers are descending onto our little Island, continuing on to the ocean resort areas. They stop to pick up food and supplies, trying to save money. Locals here scramble to stock in an attempt to have their houses ready to go. Been a prepper for many years.
Lookin' good!
Great ideas xx
Thank you! 😊
