  • This thing is a wonderful motor - And perhaps one of the best Olympians I've ever heard!
Another one from this year's Cumbria Easter Rally, Is CMS 1005 - Which I have actually rode before, although I never ended up publishing the video, due to some major sound issues.
When I saw it was running at this event, I knew I had to try again, and while the wind did, unfortunately, mess with this recording too at some points (The windows are TOO good at providing air, lol), I'd say it's overall a good recording still, and oh boy, does it sound wonderful, with it's Gardner Engine with ZF gearbox setup, A setup for under the hood that I've never seen before.
Either way, enjoy some thrash through the heart of Westmorland, from Brough to Kirkby Stephen Station.

How has it taken this long for someone to point that out 🫣
No wonder this wasn't getting proper views, will fix the thumbnail soon.

I drove some of these in Keighley years ago and this particular engine set up wasnt that good, made them very sluggish on hills compard to the Cummins L10 which was far superior. However the thrash was immense especially at 5mph on a hill whining, groaning and front fans roaring like a vacuum 😅
My favourite was H519RWX, with a Northern Counties body which ended its life with Moving People .

Well, as you can probably see in the video, this didn't handle too well on hills either. Thrashy beast all the same though!
