I absolutely get it. I remember at one point they had said something about not wanting to spoil things too far in advance, but here we are looking at 2026 releases lol!
Rebel Sleeper Cell sculpts look rad imo, will definitely pick them up I think!
They do look great, not a fan of the weird way the 'marksman' works. Would rather it just count as a T21
About the sleeper cell, the very interesting thing is the base unit has 6 minis. That's a lot of surging black dice on a range 2 attack for just 70 points, and hopefully they have another heavy and personnel option than what is spoiled here.
It is insane. A full squad can be made out of 8 members and they all shoot with two black dice, resulting in 16(!) black dice at range 2 with tactical 1, so they always have an aim token and Scout, so that they can easily can get into range 2. They are truly insane.
Wookies are good for a major offensive, providing a block of hit points and melee damage to shove the enemy in the direction you want them to be and away from where you don't. These guys have suppression and ways of stacking green tokens rapidly especially around an objective. Give them "Offensive push" and they will generate 3 green tokens a turn if they just stand there shimmying around an objective marker (this may not be the ideal upgrade this is just the first thing that occurred to me when thinking about this), meaning they are good for either A.) sprinting toward and objective and engaging with any enemy who attempts to contest it directly or B.) if they already control the objective, taking standby orders so they can prevent the enemy from taking it once they have it. Since they can get two green tokens base just by existing around an objective marker, their standby would actually be pretty solid.
I’m so excited for Thrawn, even though it’s a while away. I’ve been using a Thrawn mini as a proxy for Veers and Imperial Officer

Middle-earth SBG has mounted heroes that can dismount. It also has combat where you can target the mount instead of the driver. I wonder if AMG will have something similar.
Super commandos in special operations is nice cuz it shows amg still at least acknowledges shadow collective’s existence 😂
Rebel Sleep Cell & Riot Control Squad are great counters to Republic Commandos.
The new Darth Vader figure is incredible. Amazing how it projects menace with such a simple pose. Love the Yavin Luke, but I'll probably stick with my regular Han and Chewie for game play. My only real complaint is with the rebel troops. They raid during Ministravaganza that they were limiting the range not alien heads to match the hands of figure bodies, but they have Mon Cal heads on bodies with five-fingered hands. Just nitpicking, but they could have substituted some of those Twilek heads for Weequay, Ubese, or even Ithorian. Really looking forward to the riot control storms!
Super stoked about the Riot Control squads and the Viper Probe Droids.
This gives me “A new hope” for Star Wars Legion. AMG is invested in it so all in all great as exciting news for the game!
Judging by the fact they all have DC-15 rifles, that is probably a corps unit which is entirely armed with range 1-4 weapons assuming they keep their current stats. I think compared to the two previous options republic had, which was basically two of the same unit, one with extra surges one without, its a positive change as now there are different corps for different purposes rather than one just being the better option as its the same for a different point cost/you had extra points to burn. It's a double positive as now cosmetics are just cosmetics, meaning its easier to theme your army if you are wanting to make one based around a specific battle or different time period in the war or just like a specific phase of armor more.
I can't wait to get my hands on lots of these units, great video!!!!
A lot of these repacking of the starter packs I think means we will see a discontinuation of the current starter packs, whether or not we get a new one or two
adding more than one version of one character in a box actually means more variety on the table top
Crab droids are programmed so their AI will depend on what you give them, same as Spider droids
The Crab Droids will have AI, it's just through the Programmed keyword. Similar to the Spider Droids.
Loving to see all the new Legion things! Some surprises in there which was fun
I hope one day we can get an expansion to the shadow collective.
I am looking forward to painting these units, in fact, the probe droids are likely where I am going to have the most fun. Just put some rocks around the base, maybe colorized with white or green, or even some city debris. If you don't like the flight stands, just make your own out of some left over sprue material.
I really want that Savage Opress to become reality for Shadow Collective. He can even bring his Nightbrothers with him.
With regard to the Krennic model, it was supposed to be the pose when he said the line "We were this close" at the start of Rogue One.
All I have to say, is the Corps packs could easily have 1 extra leader mini to field 2 regular units or 1 large one.

With commandos I also add bushes and make them hidden with ghillie suits and such so they stand out from rebel troopers. The customization with all the alien heads is awesome, since rebels are a diverse faction. Will make it great for having some diversity while painting and making the rebels stand out. Before it was just a duro per squad lol. Also LOVE the leia endor sculpt, it's always been my favorite outfit of hers and I cant wait to get one. The two crab droids for one box is also nice, and the aqua droids is awesome they look so unique
honestly I am planning on painting my rebels up so that each squad has different colours to some degree based around the idea of different cells united together for a fight against the empires
You heard it here first, mounted heroes are just an advanced version of scout or transport for your heroes!
I will say in the Vader alt, they could always do his A New Hope armor style with the robes going over the armor, but it might be too subtle

I told myself I wouldn’t get scouts with the new resculpts but they look so much better
I'm painting up my core set plus extra stormtroopers at the moment, I'm doing each unit as separate terrain types. So for the rebels at least that'll mean different coloured schemes
Since we are getting Gungans we might get Umbarans as a nice balancing faction to support the Separatists

I'm still on the fence for 2.6, despite how good the upcoming sets look. The amount of stuff I have to find, read and print out is substantial. I'm grateful it's been made freely available, but it seems like a lot of work.

I’me really hyped for the ARF Troopers and especially the generics Jedi, I think they will be really powerful in an ARC Trooper unit because of charge and I can’t wait to get a look of the cards. But I think it’s a shame that we have to wait a full year to get the marksmen, I’m pretty happy with the direction they took for the clones (except for the holy Fire Support 😢) but… waiting a full year just to get a 2nd corps option is really bad. Especially when all other factions get at least 3 each…

I do wish the new rebel units had less twileks and either more humans or another alien type. I like the other aliens but just a few too many twileks
Especially as the rebel commandos are supposed to be the guys who went down to Endor with Han, so that building that force Asterix will be harder.
I think they were just showing off the twilek heads. They said there would be lots of head options and probably still all human if you would like.

Have been asking for Gungaans basically since Wave 2 was announced. They could be such a unique army if they're done well since they just don't fight war in the same way as all the other factions (ie, they have shit shooting but all their warriors come with spears and shields so should be beastly in melee)

I wanted to get into legions but hesitated because of the rules, cards and model updates.
Just wondering if there’s any news of an update to the starter boxes with the new stuff? That’ll probably be my entry point into legions.
Still disappointed no Baze or Chirrut….i want to run a rogue one themed list with the new sleeper cell group.
There's some stuff I'm looking forward to, but I'm not that interested in the new sculpts. Just means the stuff I would like the most is still a long way away, if at all.
I'm honestly just excited to get playing again. I'm looking forward to some Battleforce enhancements, maybe adding units to a battleforces make-up, please give my Tempest Force Riot Troopers!. Give me some Drydan Voss for Shadow Collective!
The riot control should have red melee. Its a melee unit, so why not?
And with the 2nd edition they should have introduced black Defense.
Stormtroopers having the same protection as beskar mandos doesnt make sense.
Nah red/white defense is enough cuz white shield is 6+, white surge is 5+, red shield is 4+ and red surge is 3+. Theyd only be adding a 2+ save at this point

@@hallarious506 the weapon is a d8. without surge white dice hit on 2/8, with its 3/8, then for black dices its 4/8 without surge and 5/8 with surge, then for red dice its 6/8 without surge and 7/8 with. The extra 2 sides to each dice changes the statistics up a a little, allowing the three of them to run the gambit of 1/4 to 7/8 chance to hit not counting rerolls from aim tokens.

I'm excited for the new stuff, the resculpts less so, as I think the Rebel troopers and commandos seem kind of off in their scale and proportions. Also the stormtrooper resculpts seem too stiff and unnatural, unlike the riot troopers that look fantastic.
However, super excited to have Thrawn and Tarkin in Legion. I hope they have some awesome thematic command cards too
Will that mean scout troopers or anything alike will get a unit increase because they haven't received a new unit card? I kinda feel like sleeper cells are scouts if they would ever receive a new unit card. lol

I dislike riot control squad. Firstly nececity to nerf regular stormtroopers to give those gus place in the game at all without actually reducing their cost seems like a poor design choice. Secondly now random rebel guys are better cc fighters than imperial profesionnal forces... And that is is dumb. Thirdly they are still underwhealming for their cost and I would literally take any other base unit with extra mini for 50 instead of them. Fourthly I really dislike new sniper thing. Fifthly KX droid units having same durabilaty as base stormtroopers makes no sense. They look cool tho.
I would love for them to create a "Crusade" narrative mode like Warhammer has. I'm finding it harder to convince myself to get back into legion with this big "totally not a new edition" update. But if they did that I would be more interested

Please remember that all the fun you have playing Legion is occurring over the destroyed society of X-Wing and Armada players. AMG hoodwinked the fans and destroyed two games to try to salvage MCP and milke Legion before they kill it too and resort only to supporting their Shatterpoint title.
