Madoka in my opinion isn't deep as its mainly for shock value and fetishes. Eva is objectively a deep series, even if it's not thr best written or has some glaring holes in its plot. Its a introspective look on a very nihilistic topic for a very realistic main character. It's still perfectly fine if you don't like it or don't find it to be deep.

Around 2007-2008 I used to watch unironic MS Paint + Windows Movie Maker fan anime on youtube. Because of a combination of DMCA takedowns and the past shame of the creators, almost of these have been lost to time. I particularly mourn this one specific Inuyasha parody series I enjoyed from back then, which would probably be seen as 'cringe' now, but it was obviously a labor of love from the artist and the group of friends she'd make voice acting skits with.
