I like the use of Lapras for Vikemon, not only because of Gigantimax and the presence as you mentioned, but it's also fitting as the Mega level for Gomamon prior to Vikemon's debut was thought to be Plesiomon
I’d give Joe a Chesnaught. That Pokémon fits the heavy-hitter category of Zudamon and can have the ability Bulletproof, a sign of Joe’s protective nature. I’d also suggest Orbeetle since it’s very smart and constantly uses its psychic powers to study its surroundings. Joe is pretty smart (despite what his grades show) and he’s always pretty wary of his surroundings.
Another great video! I have a soft spot for turtle pokemon, so I would have suggested Tirtouga for Gomamon. I admit the faces don’t match though. With an honorable mention for Turtwig’s evolutions, Grotle and Torterra. I am undecided if Hisuian Samurott would fit for his mega… And lastly, I figure a reference to the ever-miserable Psyduck could get an honorable mention, even if it isn’t picked.

These are great choices, but I would love it if zudomon was represented by tinkaton, just for the hammer symbilizem. Also, I think lapras would work for ikkakumon, because they do use him as a fairy, and blastois for vikemon because of the twin cannons/ twin maces thing
What if one of your views was a pokemon trainer? You could base off their team on the pets they have, had, will have. Or their favourite pokemon. Or mix of both.

if Chesnaught had a blue, white or grey shiny it would have been Perfect!

Totally agree, I think if I could do it again I'd have to at least reference Tinkaton and Blastoise as options
joe want to be a doctor so i say the chansey or blissey is perfect for joe like brock have a blissey and he a pokemon doctor
