I tell people all the time, and I will repeat it here. It wasn't them changing the theme song singer. It wasn't adding Ted to the cast. It wasn't even the ill fated addition of "the Mermaids". What "sank" *_The Love Boat_* was a combination of two factors. Firing Laruen Tawes as Julie McCoy and an over-reliance in the final season on "two hour 'special voyage' episodes". The latter was there for longer story lines that absolutely need more time, but there were far too many in the last two seasons (and the "tenth season" was only four TV movies really), but that was mainly because of the former reason. From the end of the first quarter of season three on through to the end of season seven, the crew were very much a family. Juile and Vickie were pretty much like sisters, and it always felt forced in the last two seasons. (in fact, they brought Lauren back for "season ten", but by then it was too late.)
I do not understand how anyone could be somewhere so Beautiful as the Rivera and still want to be cruel enough to tare down such a Lovely villa over pettiness . That woman's ex has disgusting behavior . I appreciate this post.... although the acting is not as good as when the show got started . Miss Julie 😞😾
