Thank you for this video, I purchased this kit and it works perfectly. It does not come with torque specs in the instructions and they are not mentioned in the video. Where can I find the torque specs?
I remember that kit. that long alternator bolt always broke on my ej but you guys hook me up every time the bolt snap and sent me grade 10 or higher bolts from Honda :)
Best to get the ep3 idler pulley instead and keep the alternator where it’s originally at. Otherwise, you’ll be spending your time replacing that alternator bolt with this kit. I’ve had this bolt break in multiple places... 2 in the center of the bolt and 3 shear where the thread starts on the bolt. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this kit if you’re boosted. Only thing that saves me from a costly repair is the sound of the belt squealing and that’s the cue that the bolt has broken.
How does the centre feed Gato compare to the K-Tuned version for the k24a2? I ordered the K-Tuned through a UK company, a month later I was informed that the K24 version had been discontinued, (gutted) . Speaking to a vendor today from your side of the pond ,he offered to sell me a Gato intake instead, but I've never really heard much about them. From a quick Google, they look similar.
What torque spec was that top pulley torque down to? I have a k24 that squeals when starting the engine.. I think the previous owner didn't torque it properly. Would like to know torque spec for that top one. Thanks
@@keithbegley888 ahhh, ok.thanks. I only read that the k-tuned delete kit has to be used with the centre feed manifold meaning no PS either. I'll take another look. Thanks again
@@keithbegley888 its never really THAT hot in the UK for long periods so im not too fussed about AC, and the only option ive heard of to retain PS is to use a Toyota MR2 electric powersteering pump..
kudzy11 an mr2 what the never heard of that I heard of getting electric power steering with an ep3 power rack and can get it from the hybrid em2 you wire the rack to the ecu and harness and also need the ep3 idler pulley. They make eps kits from visionautoworks

What if you don't have boost?
So I assume putting the alternator down there is redundant if you also purchases the ps relocating kit? Haven't been able to find any other vids.

How did you mount the new pulley on the alternator? it looks like you grinded down the alternator housing ? @etdktuned
life saver
So what your saying is your kit is crap as you don't have the alternator in the correct position is why you need a pullie
Does it come with bolts to close off P/S? What do you do with the heater core?
What are the torque specs
How do you release tension?
can you still run an a/c & p/s with a adjustable pulley kit?
That's what I wanna know, I want to use the centre feed manifold, but it says this kit must be used..I wanna keep at least my ps
kudzy11 you’ll need the ep3 pulley to keep ac it says right on the website for this item

can you delete the ps without deleting the ac?
Yes
who would spend all that money for a swap and have to get rid of a/c and p/s???
Your shot
what serpentine belt did you use?
The kit comes with it i think
