Wow! The Hartke really stood out. Those sealed cabinets stop those overtones and produce absolute clarity. Absolutely the best!
Right off the bat, what might be good tone for you may not be good for me. I'm of the old school and bass should be felt, not heard. I was surprised by the Hartke. The Aguilar is nice. I would say the Eden is the best. It cut through and yet maintained good bottom. I'm disappointed in the Mark Bass and the PJB. That Mark Bass Classic is trying to ape the Ampeg SVT; that ain't working. Again, it's all subjective. We all hear things differently and we all play differently. I know it's a matter of personal preference, but the Hartke seems to have the best of all the styles as they seemed to have clarity and significant bass at the same time. I play a 508 at small to medium venues and it seems to suck the air out of the rooms without missing the clarity.
Eden smoked them all. Imo
Can anyone actually beat the quality and versatility of this demo? Insane. Well done!

Super comparison. Eden, Probass, Aguilar would be my top three in that order. The Eden sound is just exceptional.

What a great video! Thanks a million for all the work... World class! Loving the Aguilar and Hartke setup. I know from experience that the C4 and C8 are able to sound less honky. I really like them with other amps than PJB.

just bought a DarkRay for my 2nd bass, thanks for having it in this comparison. Really shined on some of these amps.
The quality of this demo is INSANE. Some really great bass playing too. Really showed that the modern player is spoiled for choice. Confirms my love of Phil Jones, with the very focused low end, but I'd be happy with most of these amps.
I have Hartke LH500 and it did pretty good on this test, but Proamp and Markbass Classic series really resonated with me. Great review and video!
