I'm looking forward to receiving mine. My eyes are not as sharp as they used to be and I want to see details in my aquarium. Half of the corals are just outside of my focal range with or without my glasses.

That's amazing!! I had no idea there were binoculars with a minimum focusing distance so close.

Anyone in the comments know how these perform at farther distance? Do they give good resolution at a deer sized animals @ 100 yards?

That camera and lens suspiciously doesn't look like a Canon. How are you finding it's performance as a wildlife/birdnerd setup?

Marko Horstmann I got that because I’m now dating Ashley after they divorced. They were high school sweethearts that just ended up fizzling out. Trevor cared more about birding than Ashley in many regards.

Canon has just released their own binoculars with image stabilization inbuilt. They're a bit pricey, and I think I'll stick to saving for the Nikon Monarch 7's (which are still pricey too but attainable).
BTW have you guys tried an eye piece adaptor (digiscope adapter) for your spotting scope so you can put your dslr on that to make images with? I'd be interested in your results if so.

Nice video, thx. I've had a pair of the Pentax Papilio binocs for more than a decade, and I got them originally for butterflies. I have a bunch of buddleia (butterfly bushes) out in front of my house that attract quite a few butterflies, mostly various varieties of skippers and monarchs. I've found that I don't really need to mess with the Papilios, because I get much much better images with my Nikon digital SLR camera and macro zoom lens. I shoot the best pic I can manage of whatever butterfly is around, then import it into my iPhone 8. There, I can easily zoom in a bit further, crop, and enhance the coloration, contrast, tint, saturation, etc to optimize the image. I save it on my iPhone, and mail it to myself so I can have it on my laptop. I end up with a spectacular image in most cases that I can enjoy forever. Much better than my Papilio binocs, although they are still handy. Also, there are quite a few Peregrine falcons around here, and some ospreys. On several occasions I've been walking down the street in our neighborhood and a Peregrine will swoop down and snatch a sparrow out of the air right above my head. Awhile back, I walked out in my back yard and 10 feet away was a Peregrine sitting on top of my back yard fence picking apart a pigeon and getting feathers all over my patio.

Comparing apples to oranges lmao... yes of course a digital SLR with an expensive macro lens is going to be better quality than $100 binoculars. Know what else it is? 10lbs heavier.
