I took ownership of a car and it came with a CR 2350 battery which is a lot thinner which meant it moved around inside and that caused me to have battery issues.
Got the correct battery and that fixed it.

Is the back of the key magnetic? How does the back tab get on???
It hooks on at the bottom and it’s just a really tight fit

Anyone figure this out for a 2009 1 series, I’ve watched so many videos and my key has none of the same little notches or covers to come off and it’s the og key that came with the car
In that generation, some keys have user replaceable batteries like shown in this video, and some have rechargeable batteries that are not meant to be replaced, in which case you'd need to buy a new key from the dealership.
is this a m sport? Also what year is this?
2017. This was a "Sport Line" that I converted to M Sport
