HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERY IN YOUR BMW KEY FOB // Replace the Battery in the Remote

It's so simple to change the battery in your BMW key fob, once you know how to do it. Well, I'm here to show you how! All you need is a small screw driver, a replacement CR2450 battery and one minute! I had a difficult time finding the proper battery in stores, so I bought. mine on Amazon. I'll include the link in case you need it.

Thanks. I was able to replace my battery. It works to unlock the door, but when I go to start it…it says the remote is not detected. I’ve held the remote to the steering column to start the car. It works, but when I shut off the engine it says remote not detected again. Do you know what I should do? Thanks

Now that’s just weird! Maybe take the battery out and reseat it? Or is there a “reset” to perform in the onboard computer? On Monday I can ask my BMW mechanic. If you figure it out, please post it here so we all will know! 👍

I’ve been doing this for almost 2 years and you’re the first person to ask! 🏆
The two cherries represent the sweet and connected relationship that my husband and I used to have. He died and I had to learn how to do a million things! That’s why I started the channel, to teach other widows how to do stuff too. (Turns out most of my subscribers are men!)🤣
