Thanks for the update! Tambu Lounge always holds a special place in my heart. When I was younger, it was always our "First ride" of the vacation! 😅 And thanks to World of DVC, I'll be getting some new Polynesian points soon! Can't wait to hear what you thought of 1900 Park Fair!
The last time we were at the Poly, we had noodles, pot stickers, ribs (?), and bread pudding! We actually snagged seats at the bar. It was one of our best dinners and the drinks were great also! Highly recommended. I just wish they had more seats/tables there. Its such a fun place and the food is delish! Always great to see your videos. PAUL, I've never seen you without glasses. You looked great! (this is coming from a bifocal contact wearer of 40+ years) Sending love from Ohio...💜💜

Holes in the building are probably due to Feng Shui. (Dragon Gates) something about making the building more harmonious with nature. Still think the new Poly building looks horrible however.
I have the same issue with the mugs, just too many, but i will be adding the one i saw.

We are in Disney the week before thanksgiving and we are staying in the new cabins at fort wilderness. I know y’all were wanting to see them. Have you had a chance to yet?
is it just me or do other guests want more themed hotels (like Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian) rather than these generic style builds?. See what Tokyo Disney is doing with their hotels, they manage to blend Disney character with hotel standards and seem to be eclipsing how the US parks are doing it. They're not even Disney owned and the character room are fab!
I have seen a number of RUclips vlogs where they have highlighted a lack of pricing on products. They do however have a barcode which you can scan in the MD app to check the price. Maybe it’s a cost cutting exercise by Disney or forcing us to use the app 🙂

Is DVC surprised about the CFW sales? They really shouldn’t be. They should have done some market research. If they did any, like ask 10 people. They would have found out it wouldn’t be high demand. Don’t get me wrong. The people that love the cabins love them. But they don’t want it DVC.

Could that big opening be a new DVC Lounge?
The pool looks incredibly SMALL, the hot tub looks way too small as well. A resort that size could use 3 hot tubs and a pool 2x the size.

Didn't understand why the DVC cabins were not larger. I would have prefer a private bedroom.
For crying out loud Disney stop slowing down projects on purpose. That is why Universal Studios is starting to kick your butt. Finish projects ON TIME.
The DVC resort backpack is cute but it is missing my home resort Disneyland Villas so I didn't buy it.
Disney should have SEPARATED this new tower from the Polynesian and made it the DVC Reflections Resort instead of putting it at Fort Wilderness.
Any idea what the two story whole in the middle of the tower is?
Also do you think the pool will have a water slide?
I read somewhere in the middle it's possibly an elevator.
In the concept art, which is still accurate to what they are building, they show some green plants in that big opening so it’s probably a lounge with a great view. I don’t think it’s a grand villa because I wouldn’t expect just one of them!

Best construction update I’ve seen. Unfortunately this building doesn’t really fit the Poly theme. Would make a great Marriott hotel though. Thanks for the video!

It is so profoundly ugly - it completely destroys the ambiance of the old Polynesian Resort. The design has nothing to do with tropical theme, it looks more like a cheap, giant Marriott. Besides that, the monorail was already nearly unusable at peak times in the morning and evening - now it will be absolutely unusable. Saw it live recently, it is far worse in person than in the pictures. The scale is all wrong, and ruins the peaceful skyline. Just makes me so sad.
Disney is just on a run of really bad choices. The Cabins are horribly designed. And this is shaping up to be another. The pool area is clearly too small for even just that building and unless they build a bridge where the boom is the public is going to be walking right though the back side or will they be cutting off the water side path to the GF?
Agreed. Plus, the restaurants at the resort are already overrun. Imagine adding all these other people. Going to be a nightmare.
With 3 pools at the resort I don’t think that one being smallish will be an issue.
