I ordered your free class for skin tones....so excited! Thank you thank you! I'm disabled, don't leave the house much anymore, and artwork keeps me (relatively) sane. Love your videos, this old granny is learning so much!
You are very welcome it will make things clearer for you. Sorry to here that you are disable Patricia. Art is moving meditation every moment, always fresh and alive. Thrilled you are learning from the tutorials... all the very best 💕🙏
I have always drawn, just now getting brave enuff to start xperimenting w/color. Too much to learn too old retaining what i have learned. But i am trying !!!
Many thanks for sharing this video Dave. I’ve been asked to do a portrait and didn’t know where to start especially with her blond hair. This video has given me all the answers I need. Brilliant! All the very best to you as always.
Another magistral demonstration. I love pastel painting, but I wish you could do more oil painting ones. Please do, it would be much appreciated. I also think that it would be marvellous if you could show us how you paint a master copy of a great old master, like, Rembrant, /Velazquez, Rubens, Murillo or other. I'm sure that you will blow our minds with it. Thanks so very much. With all respect and admiration. Linda ❤
Thank you Linda, Great suggestion regarding copy of a master. I have loads of tutorials on my Patreon page all in real time ... please consider joining... it is a great price for sure. You are welcome, thanks for the kind words and watching. 🙏
@@DavePortersArt Thanks to you, dear Sir for your magnificent tuition and kindness. I have just joined the oil painting tier on your Patreon. I look forward to improve a lot my own art with your excellent videos. By the way. I think you''ll not see my subscription with the Linda name, as this is only a You Tube nickname. My real name starts with a 'T' and the surname with an 'M'. , kindest regards😊
great work and gradual build of form. in such a light area would you ever start with a grisaille and then apply colors? (i find it easier for me in general)
I was going to join your patreon but it said I'd be charged again on the 1st of each month. Why do you only get a partial month for the first month? It seems rather bizarre to me. Thanks.
Hi Jett, When you join you get full access to all the Library which is worth a lot in itself... to be fair what I charge is hardly nothing compared to some others... It is a great price for very in-depth content. You can always wait until the 1st of the month then you wont have a partial month then. Think of it as extra support for my work. All the best 🙏🙏
The question is for patreon when i think of it. Their system makes no sense and it ends up hurting creators. Say someone goes to sign up on the 29th. Who would do that only to be charged again in 2 days...and then they forget to go back. I have no doubt your work is worth it. It's the principle. Do you as the creator to charge on the 1st or month to month?
Is it always important what type of paper is used for pencils? because I used all kind of papers and white pencils never drawing white on them and pencil eraser is so grey that there's no white color.

Hi Dimirio, you could do it that way, I would always make the greys two shades light before adding the glazes. 🙏
Thanks master..

Pastelmat 🙏

You are very welcome Claudia, thanks for the kind words. 🙏
Unbelievable, thank you for your work. 👍👍👍
Thank you, you are welcome... thanks for watching 🙏😊
What are the best sanded papers as well as Non-sanded papers for pastel work?
I would just stick with Pastelmat 🙏
Já pensou em mudar a tonalidade da pele, de branco pra negro ou de negro pra branco?
Realmente no lo miré de esa manera. Mi técnica la desarrollé a partir de mi técnica de Pintura al Óleo. 🙏

@@jcepri I tend re to refund close to the end of month 28th onwards when Patreon takes the 1st of the following month out so they get 3 days free.
One of the most informative lessons I have seen.
That is great to know... really appreciate the great feedback. All the very best 🙏
