I think the icons are working as intended. The camps are always active, while the skulls are completed and have changed from pale gray to faded gray (they might want to adjust that).
And jewelry! I picked up a pretty sick ring from them. It’s out of the way but worth stopping by while leveling in the temple of filth or whatever it’s called
loving the vids on gearing, still think its the most important thing for new players like me to get the grasp of. maybe a follow up on crafting on a good base you've found? what makes a good base? and when its good to use certain materials/essences to upgrade it. like should you socket or not, what to put in sockets if you do, etc etc.
Hahaha. I went to these vendors, didn't find anything worth equipping but a few rares for SUPER cheap for disenchanting, including 2 6-mod rares. Got me 6 regal shards which got me a full regal orb, which i slammed on my necklace for +42 spirit on this: -------- 16% increased Rarity of Items found (implicit) -------- +96 to maximum Life +42 to Spirit +14% to Lightning Resistance One whole ass extra aura with 1 +10 spirit support just like that. Cheers Ziggy.
Idk if I'm just getting unlucky, but these have been a huge waste of time for me. They sometimes take a while to find and I've been checking them basically every level up in Act 3 and I've never found a useful item from them. Between this and general lack of currency drops, I've been stuck using a weapon from last act through 2 new bases appearing because I haven't been able to find or craft one that's better. And it's definitely falling off in damage, I just straight up can't get a better one. So much for the drop increases.
Ah bummer! I found several upgrades in normal with them but it's all luck in the end. Just note though that often you wont find a weapon thats an upgrade instantly, you have to buy one that's on its way and socket + run + craft.
The vendors are super powerful, I think this is where people are going wrong and not checking enough, they aren't clearing the zones properly and then falling behind because they don't have the gold to gamble for weapon upgrades or afford that thing from the vendor. But the main thing is buying all rares you can to convert them into shards. I see people with 6 figures complaining about no orbs to craft with while they never even bother checking the shops, ever
People are forgetting the basics of PoE. Item levels. You can expect below average gear for the first time through the acts. 2nd time (cruel) should be more fruitful. And of course, early maps is where most of your decent gear will come from. GGG said that we would not have capped resistances during the campaign. But it's good to have a few ring types on hand to swap out for specific boss damage.
Making the early game so tedious seves what purpose? Driving new players away, burning out many others? Also easy to brick your character with a wrong ascendancy or upgrading gear that requires +5 levels... The costly respec also stiffles experimentation, it should be cheap in an EA.
Yo Ziggy ... could you at least be a little bid honest or is GGG's leash too short and tight ?! "sometimes have some upgrade for a couple gold" - it's basically the only source of rares bcs they are realistically non existent in the loot pool and ALWAYS cost a giant fortune compared to amount of gold that you get to loot. This amount of copiun is getting insane in the content creator community 🤦🤡
UPDATE: There is a THIRD VENDOR later in the act that sells JEWELERY and caster gear! Cauldron Keeper in Apex of Filth!
Nice.
I think the icons are working as intended. The camps are always active, while the skulls are completed and have changed from pale gray to faded gray (they might want to adjust that).
That makes sense! There are a few that are buggy so I wasn't sure.
It would be nice if they turn grey when you check out the items and then go bright again once new items are in stock.
There's also a 3rd vendor later in act 3 that sells caster weapons
And jewelry! I picked up a pretty sick ring from them. It’s out of the way but worth stopping by while leveling in the temple of filth or whatever it’s called
Yep she gave me a +3 minion sceptre
Pretty sure there's a tooltip inside the game that tells you vendors refresh after leveling up.
takes me back to early poe checking every vendor for jews/chromes lol
It refreshes vendors, but theu won't sell any items from different acts, at least weapon wise.
@@hellowill jews? 😅
It says so in loading screen tips sometimes yes, I saw it.

certain vendors gain items as you kill unique enemies i belive . at least some in town vendors do
In the first zone of act 3 you can find a chest with a guaranteed jewellers orb
when do they show up ? after campaign ? I doing Act 3 for he first time and i cant find them
I discovered the Hooded One will ID all items in your inventory. No need for wisdom scrolls unless you want to ID something in a map.
You can ctrl click him to do it fast, too.
How do you solve mana problems with only grenades?
Does Accuracy impacts grenades? do you need it?
Nah
I was finding things kind of slow to start but the slow drip feed turned into a flood wave around level 35 to 40... Vendor drops ☔ are really good!
Vendors reset EVERY level up
thanks ziggran!
My vendor sells dogshit and is asking top dollar for it - been checking since lvl1 😂
Would be a useful mechanic if I had regals (I know I can disenchant but it takes forever anyway)

They buffed the droprates, so it was too low. Also strange to make shopping more interesting, than actually killing and looting...
Can someone tell me how to setup co-op on pc
Thank you!
Great game mechanics, rewarding me for finding a vendor vs killing a boss
exactly its trash
Many bosses give you some kind of permanent buff or uncut gems in addition to their loot!
@@ZiggyDGaming they didnt for me
Did you report the bug then?
@ it isn’t a bug it’s called the game sucks plain n
Assuming I made it to act 3 already. :D
I need more vendors in act 2 thought...
Yep got a theee melee skills from these guys
they are not secret, they are shown on the map...

Ooooh
GGG say they like loot drops to be meaningful, but still the best way to get loot is shopping.
Useless vendors, they have never offered an upgrade and you dont want to seek them out twice..
True. Waste of time
Streamer luck 😅
