nice ❤ I appreciate this video. I’m sewing wide-leg pants 👖 for first time from a pattern. Will watch again and again while I sew. Very helpful. Thankyou
I'm so happy to share the same sentiment as a person who's studied at the collegiate level when it comes to nervousness before tackling the fly. I have over 30 years of experience and a few college courses...but still...whoosa... the fly.
Lol I love how the pants have that light drape/flow to them! As well as when you turn and see the guy walking by and your look on your face which made me giggle.
Thank you she is hilarious! As long as you use a zipper foot and feel for the zipper end, you won’t have to worry about hitting it :) thanks for watching!!
this is what i’ve been looking for! thank you for teaching us how to manipulate a pants pattern. would love more videos that show how to manipulate different basic blocks!
this video and your channel in general have assisted me on my sewing journey so so much. I was actually motivated to buy my first pattern drafting book. Thank you so much ❤️.
Excellent! I just stumbled upon your videos for the first time today and you have THEEE most professional looking finishes on everything you've shown. Your dresses are sooo cute, feminine and well-fitted. I love everything! Thanks for sharing and much success to you!
I love your pants and tutorial, and am sure I will refer to this video when I make mine. BTW, I also love your design decision about the fold direction of your tucking. The result is beautiful!
Thank you for the work you put in this! It is really clear and helpful ❤️ Your videos are being decisive in my learning experience . Would you recommend to draft a straight waistband in case I want to make this very high waisted? I'm not sure because despite the high waist there is a very big difference between my waist and hips
Hi Lydia Naomi, I liked your work and it’s very neatly done. I have a question, if I send you my wide leg pant measurements, would you draft the pattern for me? The second question are you from Toronto, Canada? If yes, then how can I contact you? Please I’ll be waiting for your reply. Thank you very much for sharing your good work and your precious time. Bye for now!
Any idea if there is a guide to what type of seam finish to use if you are hand sewing? I've done French seams and flat felled seams before, but I struggle with them in pocket areas, and I'm thinking those might be problematic in the fly area as well.
hello looks very beautiful you have great sewing skills I whish you would film how to operate the industrial sewing machine foot pedal how it's used to sew please ok?please kindly reply back ok?thank you very much
Thank you kindly. I am not sure what you mean about using the foot pedal. You just press down on it and if it is scary to use just keep sewing some scrap fabric until you get used to it :) every machine has its quirks. I have worked on quite a few and it just requires getting used to 🙂

No summer wardrobe is complete without a pair of widelegged linnen trousers 🙂
haha you got that right ;)
I've been trying to figure out how to sew pants like this from scratch, your video was so helpful, they turned out great!
So happy you liked this ☺️
I'm so happy to share the same sentiment as a person who's studied at the collegiate level when it comes to nervousness before tackling the fly. I have over 30 years of experience and a few college courses...but still...whoosa... the fly.
Yess! you get it! thank you hehe!
Lol I love how the pants have that light drape/flow to them! As well as when you turn and see the guy walking by and your look on your face which made me giggle.
thank you! glad it made you laugh! it was so funny in the moment cause I was just being silly I just didn't realize I had an audience XD
Hello. This trouser looks very beautiful. Thank you
Thank you Rita!
your kitty "helping" is adorable! and the fly area is pretty intimidating, I'd def break a needle on the zipper stopper if I'd try to do it ^^""
Thank you she is hilarious! As long as you use a zipper foot and feel for the zipper end, you won’t have to worry about hitting it :) thanks for watching!!
omg what took me so long to discover you, love your style 🥰

i absolutely love these!!! ❤❤
I love it fit well
Excelente tutorial👍
This is amazing. Thank you!
I love your pants and tutorial, and am sure I will refer to this video when I make mine.
BTW, I also love your design decision about the fold direction of your tucking. The result is beautiful!
Thank you so much! The i heard the inward fold helps not add the look of volume to your abdomen. The opposite way can add volume there. :)
@@LydiaNaomi Thanks for your reply ❤️ You are right, it sure looks that way 😊👍
U're gonna be famous pretty soon.and u deserve it 🌺🥰🇩🇿
Aww wow thank you ☺️ you are so kind!!
Thanks!!
No problem!
Great work
Thank you ☺️
these looks so great, I'm still learning, is there a reason you stayed on the zipper foot for the rest of the pants after doing the fly? thank you!
Fantastic! very pleasing to watch! do you have a sweatpant video?
Thank you! Yes I do ruclips.net/video/qpNTUBtRuPw/видео.html :)
Quite cool ma'am
This video helped so much in terms of the fly area, just finished my pants
thank you
Amazing! I am so glad I could help!
Your sewing skills are so good. Are you self taught?
Thank you! No I went to fashion school :)
Thank you for the work you put in this! It is really clear and helpful ❤️ Your videos are being decisive in my learning experience . Would you recommend to draft a straight waistband in case I want to make this very high waisted? I'm not sure because despite the high waist there is a very big difference between my waist and hips
The straight wast band will just be a rectangle that is the length of your waist plus the fly extension width on one side :)

Hi Safia, I am so flattered! I don't do custom work but I wish you the best! I am not in Toronto anymore as well.
wow wow wow !!!
Thank you!

You could try binding :)
Wow ❤️❤️
Thank you!
For dinner. Do you recommend to wear wide leg pants together with blouse with cuffs? Or should i wear skinny jeans?
Thanks for answer🙂
Wide leg looks luxurious to me! But either would look great I am sure!
Epic
Where do you purchase your fabrics?
BlackBird Fabrics, Simplifi Fabrics, thrift store and local shops or Toronto shops 😊
@@LydiaNaomi thank you! I only have large box stores near me. Looking for other options.
Plssssssss do Q&A in ur next video pls😭am begging u by the way this video is good😍😍
Thank you! I will definitely do a Q&A soon but I have a few projects lined up first! I am so honoured 🥰
The only reason I watch this is that for me to buy nice fit pants equals a miracle I wonder why others bother.
❤
