I am so glad that you allowed us to go in this journey with you! I also appreciate your honesty when you ran into the challenges. I am new at sewing but you are so encouraging…I WILL PERSEVERE 😂😂😂

I’m a firm believer that you learn the most by making mistakes, and I’ve made a lot (and still do!) Keep going, you’re doing great!!

Beginning with a longer serged a tail (longer than strap) and then serging the side will allow you to turn it easier. Love the trouser pants!

I’ve tried that before, I should do that next time! The loop turned is always unpredictable 😅 Thanks so much!!

I’ve only just found your videos, but I’m really enjoying your video style! I l. o. v. e. LOVE the pleats on the fronts of your pants… as to the darts on the back of the pants… I would maybe consider using two darts on each back piece (instead of one)… they would be about 3/4” to 1” (inch) apart and you could also have both of them the same length or the ones nearest your center back seam could be 3/8” to 1/2” longer than the ones closest to your side seam. I think this would be especially helpful if you have already finished the first darts and you discover that you still need more taken out of your waist.

Thank you so much!! 🩷 You’re so right- I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to do a second dart instead of making them wider!!

How did you the pleate? How many centimeters did you stitch it down

How do u measure how wide they should be based on your own leg with and length

You don’t have to determine the width, you just choose your size in the pattern. If you’re drafting your own trousers, you would decide that based on your preferences.
