I feel as though each Damien Rice song is an epic movie: I see the images in my mind. I feel empathy for the protagonist. I'm troubled by the turmoil. I weep at the sorrow. Such beautiful sorrow! I ruefully smile at the epiphany that happens as equilibrium is restored. And I feel the hope in each pluck of the strings, each note struck on his piano, every pleading word from his mouth.
It fucking breaks my heart into billion pieces and yet makes me rejoice this masterpiece of a music and make me gasp with awe .Thank you Damien for existing for being a genius in chaotic and loud world and making music that resonates with wanderers and seekers .
