"FONSJE" Alfons Pinas passed away on May 31, 2021. He was one of the most popular Aleke singers of the last 40 years. Aleke is a Maroon popular music genre. Fonsje conveyed songs that often contain messages and/or warnings in an inspired way. Everywhere he performed people were enthusiastic. His passing means a great loss to the Maroon music world. He is gone, but he lives on in his music. Rest in peace "Fonsje" Alfons Pinas. In your own way you have contributed to the Maroon societies in particular.
