Da Gazon Matodja succeeded gaanman Akontu Velantie as Gaanman of the Okanisi Maroons in 1966. In 2011, after 45 years of rule, gaanman Gazon Matodja accepted the journey to the ancestors. After mourning and ceremonies for the deceased Gaanman, the Okanisi Maroons installed their new Gaanman, da Bono Velantie, in 2015.
But who is this new Gaanman? In this video documentary series I will give a brief explanation of who Bono Velantie is.
