My parents grooved to Fela’s music at Kadadu Nite Club in Lagos in the 70s. My brothers and I snuck to Fela’s Shrine in the 90's to listen to gbedu. Sorrow turned into joy when I went to bury my eldest brother in London. Fela's "Water No Get Enemy" was playing as the casket was lead into the church. A die-hard fan of Abami Eda, he had it, as part of his dying wish, to listen to Fela in death.
2:20 to 2:50 is a testament that Fela’s music will always remain relevant in any society. For those struggling to understand the relevance of this great icon, start from 10:04 to 10:20. Fela can't help you if you don't get it.
    Anikulapo lives forever!

Bible and church is exact opposite of real Jesus. Christianity has caused all problems especially places like Africa, Phillipines
      It's slavery.
It's FEAR GUILT USED TO CONTROL "PROFIT"POWER
ITS A BUSINESS USING JESUS NAME TO PROFIT🤮 ITS INLY FEAR GUILT OTHERWISE IT DOES NOT EXIST THIS FORM OF SLAVERY. MUSLIM JEW IS SAME. HEAVEN HELL REEL MEANING IS FEAR GUILT TO CONTROL PROFIT THATS ALL. THE STORIES ARE LIES. THE DESIGN IS TO "KEEP IN A FEAR GUILT LOOP"FROM BIRTH TO DEATH. THATS WHY THEY TRY TRAP KIDS AS YOUNG AS POSSSIBLE.
ITS DESIGNED BY 10000 DIRTY OLD CHILD SEX ABUSERS Over 2000 YRS. THEY WANT ALL THE KIDS,LIKE ORPHAGES🤮SCHOOLS,Hospital ETC
ETC THIS EVIL CORRUPT BUSINESS ACTING AS RELIGION CAUSES POVERTY ALL OVER EARTH. IT TARGETS POOR VUNERABLE PPL,VILLAGE,COUNTRY ETC IT CAUSE SEVERE POVERTY. ITS THE MOST EVIL FORM OF SLAVERY
NO ONE GETS ANYTHING EVER. THEY JUST ALL USED SLAVES.TAKEN MONEY EACH WEEK. IN BETWEEN TSKING MONEY IS THE FEAR GUILT LOOP SEE HOW ITS DESIGNED. EARN MONEY ALL WEEK BUT IN A FEAR GUILT LOOP. SO GIVE MONEY SUNDAY.
WORK OUT HOW MOCH MONET AFRICA HAS GIVEN THE THE MOST EVIL CORRUPT BUSINESS ON EARTH OVER LAST 1YR,5YR,10 yr,50yr,100 yr. How many kids starving every day. Look ppl in congo. Look at Phillipines ppl eating garbage in the slums. All brainwashed. Everyone suffers. Church doesn't help anyone.nits design is to take. If they come to help somewhere. It's because evil ways. "To gain numbers,to gain more slaves. It's all a trap. Create more puppets/slaves
      Nothing worse than pope,Vatican.
See all that in Nigeria. Miners compensation, and a big corruption thing.catholic church act like they helped or saved. IT WAS ALL A SET UP, PLANNED BY VATICAN. ALL NEW FAKE, PAID PPL TO TALK,ACT. CAATHOLIC LAWYERS, LEADERS ALL PAID TO MAKE IT HAPPEN, ALL ACTED OUT TO FOOL AFRICA POPULATION. ALL TO GAIN NUMBERS
      PLANNED LING BEFORE IN EUROPE
ALL THE MONEY PPL GIVE CHURCH GIES TO EUROPE. ONLY RICH PPL ARE THE EVIL PRIESTS, FAKE PREACHERS. THEY ALL PAID BY COMMISSION. GAIN MORE NUMBERS GET PAID MORE.
ALL EVIL AS HELL "JOSHUA" ETC ALL TRAINED ACTORS.THEY CHOOSE LOTS LIKE THIS ALL OVER EARTH. THEY PAID TO ACT, FOOL PPL. THEY JUST EVIL BUSINESSMEN/ GANGSTERS. ALL EXACT OPPOSITE OF JESUS.NPPL SOOO STUPID TO BELIEVE ANY OF IT. ITS JUST FEAR. FEAR OF LIFE.THEY ALL TRAINED TO WASTE LIFE. PPL NEED TO WAKE UP. STOP BEING SLAVES TO THIS EVIL SYSTEM.
MAFIA cartels, gangs all use fear guilt to control, profit, power. Church just trillion times worse. Ppl think religion but really it's hell on earth, pure hell. Aparteid Sth africa etc all that evil stuff, INVADERS. ITS ALL CHRISTIANITY. SAME ALL OVER EARTH. THE SPANISH FRENCH PORTUGUESE ETC INVADERS. NOTHING CHANGED. YOU STILL ALL SLAVES BUT NO NEED TO SHACKLE. THEY DO AS TOLD, TRAINED SLAVES, EVEN GIVE THE ENEMY MONEY, WORK N GIVE MONEY TO ENEMY. OBLIVIOUS

brilliant musician and originator. He left us at the
    climax of his popularity and
creativity. His brand of music remained original. Best wishes

Fella was the greatest of all in the whole African world, music, tradition, culture and everything you can think of. He was born before his time to show wicked arrogant leaders and rulers in the continent of Africa especially the Nigeria governments to be a model of civilization in Africa where civilization first started and exploded to the rest of the world.
Thank God his son Suen Kuti had picked up his father Fella's mantle of same music tradition and continued on his father's footsteps for the project of peace equality and love for others.

Musical inpiration for the many - Super tight rhythm and horn sections. Plus, the dancers were exotically driven. Big Ups to Fela Kuti and the African 70 for an extraordinary performance.

What do you mean by "exotically driven"?

@@2methylethel the lady dancers towards the end of the video carried an exotic feel to the performance. Even though those were his wives, story has it that Fela married to save them from persecution. Still, sort of reminded me of performing at a burlesque party many years ago.

Watching from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. It is 11:50pm, December 2023. What a nice way to close out 2023. Master piece, Original, Master genius. I am a fan of Fela from time immemorial. I watched you LIVE in University of Ife, Ile-Ife in 1989. Listen to your songs and music all the time. You live forever . May you never die. Everything you have said are as true or truer now than when you said and spoke about them. Great souls like you never die. I wish you are around today to witness what is happening in our country and Africa in general but I know you are watching and smiling from above. You were ahead of your time. Baba Fela.
