The stimela also took me from boarding school in Bergville to my grandparents in Pietermaritzburg. Some of us white people also had a tough life. Not as bad as many, but still a tough personal journey. Broken family, dumped in a boarding school, only went home to my grandparents once a month. Life is cruel for many people. I love my country, viva South Africa.

A wonderful man, the late great Hugh Masekela, I had been to a concert of his years back. One of my favorite musicians whom I was fortunate enough to happily run into here in Los Angeles by chance, where I believe his son was living at that time. What a memorable moment. Where ever you are Ato Masekela, may you be at peace and eternal happiness. Thank you.

One of the greatest story tellers of our times. He uses his voice as an instrument and uses his trumpet as his voice. He takes you to every scene through his lyrics!! You close your eyes and you are able to see everything that he sings about through inner vision! Aaah bless his soul!🙌🏽

what an amazing man. My dad's alway been a fan and so I've listened to a lot of his songs, yet everyday I discover new gems. I personally feel like that crowd was dead, coz I would have been losing my mind 😭😭😭. A 70 something year old legend pulling off a performance like that??!!! But seriously tho, may his soul rest in peace and God bless every person who comes across his music
