I love the natural light when you’re filming! It makes your videos so beautiful. I’m excited to try this dip-looks scrumptious! Thanks for all you do….you are a blessing!
Here is a tip for you. Wash your hands in baking soda after cutting jalepenos. It neutralizes the acid that feels like you pepper sprayed yourself if you touch your face.
14:50 my wife is making this right now. We had a bunch of peppers, jalapeño, pablano, ancho, and a red and yellow sweet pepper. So, she doubled the bacon and sour cream. Can't wait !
I'm going to make this recipe as soon as my peppers are ready. Thanks for sharing. Oh my, I just remembered I have fermented Jalapeño Peppers in cold storage. I think I'm going to use it in this recipe. I made a dip last week from my fermented dill pickles. It was son approved. 😊
This dip is so so so GOOD! It literally tastes like you are eating a jalapeño popper 🤤 It was a huge hit for the Super Bowl, and is at the top of my list for dips now (despite the fact that I’m from Buffalo NY where we have chicken wing dip LOL) It’s actually like MY FAVORITE
Never made this dip and I believe I will I also put up candied jalapeños and I also sell it in a gift shop I cannot keep enough of it for the shop and my family too.
I’ve been trying to watch all of your videos as I just found you 3 weeks ago. I love Jalapeño poppers! This looks delicious! The pretty colors of peppers would be pretty. I suppose if you can’t find jalapeños that are red, you could add a bit of a sweet red pepper, I think that would look nice and be delicious 💕
Thanks for sharing! My family loves jalapeño poppers. This is a way I can make something like them for them using the jalapeños I have preserved in the freezer or in cowboy candy. I will be trying it for our gathering for the Fourth of July this year.
I was wondering about that cast iron baking pan and just watching this 9/23, so I ordered one today! We lived in middle Iowa (1999-2000) my husband is from MO. Complaines about the heat here and lives the cold. While we were in Iowa he said one day, "man...I been cold before but never this cold!" haha and he'd move to Alaska if I agreed, nope! Haha I grew up in CO and prefer warmer climates! Thanks, for all you do and sharing it with us!!
I made the jalapeño popper dip today and it is delicious!! I think next time I will leave more seeds and veins in them. I also want to try it with the candied jalapeños. Thank you RuthAnn. Love all your videos.
That looks so good! I love jalapeno poppers too but have the same issue with not having a good time actually eating them. I will definitely try this recipe. I'm very excited!! Yum. It will spice up our July 4th celebration along with our buffalo wing dip that I always make! Yum! Thank you so much. God's blessings to you and your family!!
Thanks Ruthann, from this recipe!! Living in Texas, jalapeno poppers are a must. This dip looks yummy and easy. And yes,I do have home canned Cowboy Candy in my pantry! Blessings to you and your family!❤
Looks delicious!!! Have you ever grown nadapenos? Jalapeno taste not hot. Asiago cheese shredded on bagels is very good. grilled cheese with bacon is a winner also.
Thank you for this recipe! When I make Jalapeño Poppers ( the kind that are cut in half )I add some brown sugar. The bit of sweetness really compliments the heat of the jalapeños. Next family get together I am making your recipe. It’s so much easier and I bet every bit as tasty!
This looks delicious and I’m going to make it for the Super Bowl tomorrow! I have home canned jalapeños as well as cowboy candy. Would you use a whole pint of either drained in lieu of fresh jalapeños for this recipe?
We love jalapeño poppers. I hate to clean the seeds out though it just makes me cough so bad, but we are definitely going to be trying this. I think it would be a hit with the family.
Thank you for this recipe. I made cowboy candy for the first time this year and love poppers, so will changing it up with your dip recipe! Sure wish I had that beautiful home made cheese. Id like to try cheese making but have no access to fresh milk. Im not sure the stuff from the store would work? Blessings from Canada!
Yes Indeed! God is very good!! I thought that jalapeños had to be processed wearing plastic gloves? I haven't ever used fresh jalapeños before - just curious.
I just picked some fresh jalapeños. Going to make this great recipe!! Do you have a video or recipe on Cowboy Candy? Thank you so much I really enjoy watching and learning from you and the family!😊Regina
I’m surprised that you don’t have a hothouse to raise warm weather veg and fruit throughout the year. Things like the jalapeños! Just a thought, not a criticism!
Ahhh. I knew about your temps (as parents are from North Dakota) but didn’t realize would need to be so heated. Went to a hothouse in St Paul, and I didn’t think it was heated but I could be waaaaay wrong! ❤️❤️❤️ 😆😆😆

I made this dip for a late afternoon family gathering and then a corned beef dinner. I tested it and it is so yummy! My guests are going to love it!
LOVE HOW YOU WASTE NOTHING !!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I do have cowboy candy on my shelf so this would be a great use up. I’m sure my husband and family would love it. Thanks a bunch!
I'm going to make this recipe as soon as my peppers are ready. Thanks for sharing.

You are a wonderful hostess! Some people would just add store bought bacon bits and you definitely put on the ritz!
This dip is so so so GOOD!

I caught myself shouting "put gloves on to cut those jalapenos!! I fried my hands when I was young chopping them.
I felt the same!
I have cowboy candy and will be making this! Love poppers, but shy from all the prep!
Looks sooooo yummy! I will definitely try this recipe using the cowboy candy on my shelf! Thx for sharing!

Love seeing the snow. We don’t get much here in Oklahoma. Maybe one decent snow in the winter. ☃️
Love the animals and your channel!
Looks delicious!!! Have you ever grown nadapenos? Jalapeno taste not hot.

Delicious! I do poppers often but never thought of making it all into a dip. Thanks for sharing! ❤ xo
Hope you enjoy
Never mind sorry! Just found that you had linked it! Thanks again!
It's ok
Wow the dip looks very delicious 😋
Some corn would be yum in that too
Not sure why i never thought of jalapeno poppers as a dip, but it sure sounds less fiddly.
Yum!!! Thank you!
This dip looks so good. Can’t wait to try it Ruth Ann! Thanks for posting!❤️
Would be great to serve with carrot sticks, celery and cucumbers to dip in too as a “chip”!
Looks delicious, I am definitely going to try this recipe.

I personally would use the whole pint but my family doesn’t like it too spicy so I just use half
We love jalapeño poppers. I hate to clean the seeds out though it just makes me cough so bad, but we are definitely going to be trying this. I think it would be a hit with the family.
Excited to try this!!! Thanks for sharing, and do you have a video on making your Asiago cheese as well?
Looks scrumptious 😀💐🙏🇺🇲
i make this too. a little different recipe but its so good!
Sounds like a perfect dip for Superbowl coming up. Thanks so much for .
That’s what we’re planning on too
Yum!
When we remodeled our kitchen one of the things I really missed was the pull-out cutting board. We need to see if we can get one retrofitted.
Yes!! I love mine!!
Thank you for this recipe. I made cowboy candy for the first time this year and love poppers, so will changing it up with your dip recipe! Sure wish I had that beautiful home made cheese. I might actually try this! I don't love spicy stuff but my boys do 😜
Could you please share the recipe for jalapeño candy!!
Looks amazing! Cast iron pan link you cooked the bacon in please. Thanks so much!
You got it! www.carolinacooker.com/carolina-cooker-preseasoned-deep-fryer-pan/p/101663/
Hi...new to your channel and loving it. Do you have a link for the cowboy candy??
put you bacon grease in a jar put little water in it the put in fridge till the grease turns solid!
Yes Indeed! God is very good!! I thought that jalapeños had to be processed wearing plastic gloves? I haven't ever used fresh jalapeños before - just curious.
Where did you get a big iron pan.
What is a cheese cave? Part of your cellar?
I just picked some fresh jalapeños. Going to make this great recipe!! Do you have a video or recipe on Cowboy Candy? Thank you so much I really enjoy watching and learning from you and the family!😊Regina
You had me at cheese cave. What?
Do you suppose this wouldn't come out as good using frozen jalapenos? I froze a lot this summer but I haven't used them yet.
I’d thaw and strain them and maybe press them dry with a towel and then use them!!!
Instead of cream cheese use sharp cheddar cheese.
Ruth what camera do you use to film? Just curious? Thank you!
My iPhone 14 pro
Why do you strain your bacon grease?? We always let "the bits" stay in.
Do you have to strain the bacon fat? I’ve just saved it in a jar in the fridge.
👍🦋
Do you have a recipe or video for your cowboy candy?
Do you have cowboy candy recipe? I have a ton of jalapeños that I always end up freezing but candied jalapeños sounds better!
Yes I do! On my Instagram page
How heavy is your cast iron pan?
I’m surprised that you don’t have a hothouse to raise warm weather veg and fruit throughout the year. Things like the jalapeños! Just a thought, not a criticism!
Too costly to heat a hothouse in winter!! It’s not unusual for us to have temps well below zero for weeks at a time.
Ahhh. I knew about your temps (as parents are from North Dakota) but didn’t realize would need to be so heated. Went to a hothouse in St Paul, and I didn’t think it was heated but I could be waaaaay wrong! ❤️❤️❤️ 😆😆😆
Why do you yellow out screens ? Geek.
Can you make and freeze to have on hand?
You could try it!!!
Receipt please
Why not just add the whole jalapeño pepper. Just use less of them. Instead of using 7 use 1-2.
Soo low calorie😆
This looks delicious and I’m going to make it for the Super Bowl tomorrow! I have home canned jalapeños as well as cowboy candy. Would you use a whole pint of either drained in lieu of fresh jalapeños for this recipe?
I’d use about 1/2 pint. But it really depends on how many peppers you want in your dip.
@@Ruthannzimm Thank you so much!
