Moldova be smart and give independence to the enclaves (if they don't have vital resources). Join the EU and then wait for the people there to grow envious of their neighbours and at some point re-apply to join Moldova. If you need an example of this look at Namibia after independence from South Africa and South Africa's legal retention of the enclave of Walvisbay and the offshore (Penguin) islands in the 1990's. Although it was the 2nd largest city and best natural harbour in Namibia and the country did for a few years have to consider spending a fortune to make an alternative ... eventually as Namibia became successful the people in Walvisbay grew restless until they three years later put pressure on South Africa and applied to "re-join" Namibia. It was a risk for sure ... but the Namibian government had few options, and yet played it's cards fantastically. South Africa had a legal right to stay in Walvisbay (it had previously been a British/South African enclave in the former German colony), the people in the enclave were at that time more than 50% ethnically and historically South African and South Africa has vastly superior military resources. Namibia had just come out of a 23 year conflict it did not need a new one - so it applied the rule of "a bird in each hand is worth many in the bush" with a twist! It took what was offered and became successful, there by making a grain trail for the other birds so to speak to leave the bush and walk into their hands. Pro-Russian people are afraid of change. In every community you find this, hence you must change for the better (and I mean change for the better) and then later let them join you. As a Swakopmunder (the town opposite Walvisbay) I can tell you this was a strange situation having to take ID and go through a SA military check everytime you wanted to go to the Southern beaches or visit the neighbours. But no fuss was made and eventually the people in Walvisbay themselves grew tired and envious ... and a few years later asked to switch sides and selfishly disconecet us Swakop folks from decent TV (NBC at the time was terrible and a well pointed aerial ment Swakopmunders had the option of good SA TV). No shots were fired, a little ink got spilt, both countries were satisfied and started to cement more positive relations.

In April 2024, a case was brought to court in Chisinau against Gutul and the head of the Shor party office, alleging that Gutul, serving as the party secretary, imported money daily from Russia from 2019 to 2022 to support the party's political activities, totaling almost 42.5 million lei ($2.34 million).

The treacherous governments in Romania have done nothing for Moldova and it is surprising that only 25% of Moldovans would like a reunion with the mother country. This while about 40% of Moldova's population left the country because of corruption and lack of future. This is actually the problem with the regions that do not want to listen to Chisinau. Also, Moldovan politicians have no interest in reuniting with Romania and losing power, they would perhaps prefer a back door entry into the EU, but also keep the advantages from Russia. What requirements has Ukraine met???
I can see a great opportunity for Moldova.
DW better than AL Jazz, BBC...
😂 all of them are same.
the map at the beginning is from another universe
Why?
Why Nato helping ukraine?
Why would anyone help your mother give birth to you?
But how can nations keep relations with Western countries and stay friends with Russia or China?
ah, old people. Is there nothing they won't fall for?
...did the rubber-lips come from ruZZia.
The European Union formally launches accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova on Tuesday, setting the fragile ex-Soviet states off on a long path towards membership that Russia has tried to block.
With the strong identification for Russia in the Gagauzia and Transnistrian regions, trying to take Moldova into the EU is asking for trouble, and is unnecessarily destabilising. The wiser course of action is for Moldova to remain independent of both the EU/NATO and Russia.
they are lawyers and political scientists, totally usless.
"We hate the idea of having money and success. How dare we be punished for that? We just want to be part of Russia.. again. It went so well the first time."
Romania has money and success? really funny..
Evgenia Gutul, the pro-Russia governor of Moldova's autonomous southern region of Gagauzia, was sanctioned by the United States on June 12, 2024 for being an "active facilitator of fugitive convicted oligarch Ilan Shor and his Shor Party, and their Kremlin-backed illegal political interference efforts."

Shor's involvement in corruption and fraud in Moldova, his association with the Russian government, and his sanctions by various countries. There is no mention of any involvement with MI6 or a specific amount of £26 million
The funny thing is that şor live in Israel , another democratic state,Israel wonders why Spain and another's countries don't support him
The treacherous governments in Romania have done nothing for Moldova and it is surprising that only 25% of Moldovans would like a reunion with the mother country. That's what they've done for the last 33 years, like a calf sucking on two cows. I only see idealistic comments here.
If you have a large Russian population, you are in Danger. Moldova, Kazakhstan, Georgia god bless you and prevent you from Russian harm.
It's a very bad game. Gagauz are ethnic Turks. If there is a problem in that region, all Turks will unite with Russia.
I don't want such corrupt and poor countries like Moldova to be EU members. First they should get aid from the EU and then when they reach a respectable level they can try to get admitted.
Quoting: "First they should get aid from the EU and then when they reach a respectable level they can try to get admitted."
You may rest your "troubled little mind"... it's already an ongoing process... "Molodova" is already much richer than in the past and large swaths of it's pro-Ruznitski-stani population has already "evaporated" back to Ruznitski-stan... plus it's not set to juin the E.U. prior to 2030...!!! Which is already stated by many as a very ambitious goal...!!! It's more like to be by 2035 the very earliest, if not 2040... many "Molodovans" still "think Putin style"... until they all die off, "Molodova" will pretty much remain where it is at the moment... a no man's land...!!!
There is always 2 sides of the story.
The side that makes more sense is the side im supporting.
That's why we are better the animals to think and decide.
So far, Russian makes more sense.
A TURKIC PEOPLE speak Russian 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just like all the Turkic people within the borders of today's Russia.
Well then, maybe you shouldn’t have set the precedent with Kosovo after all?
Its hadly surprising when the president of Moldova is a Romanian citizen and the leader of a "Breakaway" part is a local, moldovan cirizen.

Russia will win if EU won’t step in hard but who is worse and more evil? Comments?

Independence for Transnistria from Moldova.
As a romanian, I agree
A better question, What is Washington tryin to achieve in Ukraine?
Freedom
@@sgladiadis They already had freedom. USA is not giving them anything they didn't already have, but only hardship and grief. Lesson: Don't try to befriend America. America has no friends, only serfs. Ukraine chose serfdom to a cruel and demanding master. What did Stoltenberg say? 'Victory over Russia is the bare minimum for NATO membership that Ukraine must achieve'.
@@sgladiadis To free head from shoulders - that kind of freedom.

Meanwhile plenty of Găgăuzian people are in Romania to learn Romanian language at their own acord.
Well, according to a friend of mine from Romania, Moldova is the poorest country in the Region, so...Russia knows that where the West has failed, Russia has won...By default.
There is not enough money in the world to make everyone "gods" and if that was the case "communism" would be the correct term to define such situation.
No offense to the ideologies of "all men are gods" but if that is the case, no one "is" any other than the same than everyone else, and to be a "god" then is not "godly" at all...
And the west can't stand it , ehh
bro said we should think for ourselves then proceeds to tell everyone the west is bad LOL
Hmm, I'll have to Google Molla... Muleda ...eh ... Moldova.
quick, question If a country joins Europe, do they have to give up their national currency?
here are my thoughts
and if doesn't then it's okay but it does loses its currency then that ain't a good idea
No. Each new EU member can choose to keep its currency or use the Euro. Poland, for example, still uses its Zloti. And the UK, when it was in the EU, always continued to use the Pound.
@@meirionowen5979 Thanks for clarifying! As an American, I'm not well-versed in European laws, so this information really helps. Thanks again!
EU also interfere in Moldova politics.
what is the EU = USA trying to achieve in moldova?
US was supposed to pivot to Asia Pacific to focus on US interests but caught up in this.
Moldova should be Romanian

Moldova joining EU would cause Russia an excuse to annex or support separatists in Gaugazia and Transnistria
how would they do that?
Russia already supported separatists in Transnistria. There were already Russian soldiers there for years.
You mean the Russians will continue doing what they did for the last 80 years?

@@wondersvideos2758The economy is only "growing" because Russia is haemorrhaging money on this arms race.
