      @Imurge no, they also have to create plays and know when to sub in a player, which Ham doesn't know how to do. For example, he let the players make the final play in this game and he also gives too many minutes to Taurean Prince that always spams corner 3s

    This might be a dumb question but why didn't DLo just get Rui to come screen for him? Why did he get Dinwiddie to come screen to get Damian Lillard to switch on to him first?

    • @renzrovira5707
      @renzrovira5707 8 месяцев назад +26

      Because Lillard is is sub standard ball screen defender and coupled that with Lopez' drop, it created enough space for Russell to ice the game...

    • @theemotionalremix
      @theemotionalremix 8 месяцев назад +9

      Misdirection. Dlo didn't want Lopez to block his shot so they had to make sure Lopez stayed glued to Hachimura. With Lopez on Hachimura and Lillard on Dlo, it was much easier for the Lakers to score.

    They need to stick and believe in DLO he is really good with the lakers (in both stints) he really cares about staying with the lakers and winning. DLO has ice in his veins 🥶

    I also love how, when the Bucks put Lillard on the iso with AD, Hachimura tells Reddish to switch to cover in case AD can't stop Lillard (which is exactly what happened) since there's more of a mismatch and with his verticality he can cover better the rim

    Also good to note that Bucks PnR defense has Lopez backing all the way in to play drop coverage to deny paint/rim finishes, which gives D Lo the easy, practically wide open floater that he’s esp going to hit on a hot night.

    People are clowning Darvin Ham for saying "what we got" like he does nothing. While its funny, lemme just put into perspective that in that position where Dlo is cookin with hot oil, it was a good thing that the coach asks "what we got" first to assess whether the player has an idea of a winning play since he clearly has the feel for the game. Should Dlo not have answered correctly or was confused as to why he was being asked then Ham can give out plays. This was just (i believe) an example of letting people who are hot cook.

      @@soulzy3596you think Pop asks his players about their opinion on anything? His job is to coach and draw plays, that is what he is supposed to do. Perhaps having LeBron on the team means he has learnt to give way any time a player speaks.

    To all of y’all giving Ham a hard time…
    You gotta remember…these are pro basketball players who have been playing since they were kids. There’s nothing they haven’t seen or tried at this point.
    A coach is supposed to manage the stars and keep everyone level headed, including bench guys. Head coaches don’t need to tell these players anything and have game winning plays drawn up.
    At the end of the day, the players are the ones playing. Can’t blame the coach when you play at this high level of sports.
