That Pavlovian response where you expect "Time for Batman 2" to be immediately followed by "wew" but nothing happens
…snenens
snakon @@KorenLesthe
The only thought that crossed my mind at that moment was "Huh, there's never actually BEEN a 'Batman 2' as an actual title in any Batman media, has there?" The closest example to that I could think of would be "LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes", otherwise :P.
If this were a noisepuppet video, it’d be followed by “TooT”
Now you can get lost in New York City!
"The truth come out. Does Batman is gay?" Best reference lol
Yeah, he and Robin have been dating since the '60s and finally tied the knot when same sex marriage became legal, silly! 🤦♀️
@@C.I... "Didn't mean to insult"? You're not as smart as you think you are. It's trivially easy to look at the other comments you've left and see the transphobia you've been spouting. I do still hope you find it within yourself to grow out of this, but for now, your dogged obsession with pestering trans people has officially surpassed my patience. Shut up.
@@mirandahallisy97 "are you ready to NOT tie the knot up? You may NOT dip the -bride- Robin
@@C.I...dude what are you being a dick for?
@@FriskDrinksBrisk Isn't Donald McWacky the frontman of the metal band Dipknot? 🤔
*L O O K I T S T H E F L O W E R G I R L*
I just can't get over the idea of a bully writing the word forehead on someones forehead, just in case they forget
She was lookin kinda dumb with
They're doing it to make them improve
For some reason Barbie just saying “cool party” and that being the only words in the ad cracks me up
C O O L. P A R T Y
Which Barbie Is This @ 1:23
"A wild wet wedding with Donald McWacky" I feel cursed just hearing this combination of syllables.
In Japan they just call him Donald McDonald
Wacky McWacky
A WACKY wet wedding to be exact
3:02 the thing I love about the ‘LOOK IT’S THE FLOWER GIRL’ part is she’s spinning so fast that you can only see her shaking if the video is on 60 FPS mode
MY GOD YOURE RIGHT........ i thought the bit was that she _wasnt_ moving
"I'm Artie! I'm a bean."
"Swooce. Swooce."
"I'm gettin outta here!"
✋😳🤚 I’m getting outta here 🏃♂️
What commercial was that from irl?
@@FriskDrinksBrisk Either an ad or a short from The Adventures of Pete and Pete, which is one of greatest kid shows ever made.
@@Kefkadet thanks EDIT: I found it! It was that Pete and Pete thing. I looked it up and saw something else and it mentioned "Schwinn rider" and I KNEW that was the "swooce"!
Intimidation tactics
I’m not a 90’s kid, but there were so many parts of this video that spoke to me, like “his ex, Kim Possible” and “a guy who really likes clues”
Desert Storm was pretty badass
@@RT-qd8ylI dunno sounds like it was sweet.
Me too(then again I did grow up with 90's stuff anyway thanks to the internet)
The Flower Girl was the best running gag, also the Dream Phone being the game with a fucking phone was haliarious.
"[Ronald cries in several directions]" really spoke to me on a spiritual level
I love the James Bond Jr. one because of the implication that a show markets itself by explicitly telling you you're wrong for wanting to watch it and hammering in how much the main character sucks.
Speaking as someone who watched a few episodes back in the day, that’s way more accurate than whatever the original commercial said about it.
I want to appreciate that the captions are never just an afterthought on your videos and usually enhance the jokes significantly in just how well they're phrased. The kid very indecisive at first about his screaming put a really dumb grin on my face because of that.
yeah! the captions are appropriately jokey, and not so obnoxiously jokey that they become hard to read, either. 's good stuff!
Lends well to watching twice, once blind for initial reaction and second time with the captions.
That shit was so funny 😂😂
In defense of the '90s, we swam like lions through the crest and bathed ourselves in zebra flesh
with A TYGER POSTER!!
@@zorokicksass60 oh my lord, and the poster was a tiger losing its mind over a pumpkin
@@greatPretender79 can money pay for all the days I lived awake but half asleep… 💔
do doo do doodoo do doo
do doo do doodoo do doo
True, as a Zebra, 90's commercials ripped my flesh
Having just finished marathoning all the James Bond films, I did not need to be informed that James Bond Jr was a real thing that actually happened.
i didnt know it existed and i remembered almost every other clip
That Blues Clues joke was very well done. I will also say I liked the mashup at the end as well. Gotta love the 90’s nostalgia compilations let me tell ya.
Fr gotta be one of my favorite games, banger soundtrack
the best part was the Lassie commercial "Girl...What?" that's all that it needed to say since everyone knows that commercial so well. lol. some of those commercials were so wacky that they hardly needed to be edited to fit in the video, the 90s was weird
OK, I'm Doug. First, I'm left-handed. Second, I'm Banana Pudding-handed.
and third, I'm Dog. 😂😂😂
Yo that necrodancer remix is killer.
Referencing the tutorial of Job Job is such an incredible move
I love the idea that there was a commercial that just let us know that we can now get lost in New York City and its terrifying
Before the 90s, it was physically impossible to get lost in New York.
Despite the efforts of 1981 movie Escape from New York, it quickly became popular after 1992 movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York".
John Mulaney: “Lost in New York?! The streets are numbered!”
"The game with the fucking phone!"
The absolute look of confusion on the dude's face after 'no wEEw' gag sent my sides into orbit.
Ellie, I'll never get enough of mangling advertising and old corporate training videos. Between you, cs188, and noisepuppet, I'm in heaven over here!
Noisepuppet? I'm not a fan of that guy. Hey, did you hear about the terrible sos going down around tire town?
0:56 The Jackbox Party Pack joke got me. It fits in so well!
Those 90s girls rockin out to Necrodancer was just perfect
I was in the target demographic for these commercials, and this is pretty much exactly how I remember them
I feel like there were more talking dogs, but maybe those popsicle commercials were more late 90s fare.
Yeah, this is pretty much exactly what watching an hour of Nickelodeon in 1993 felt like.
The CGI on the Statue of Liberty is terrifying
Things we know about Doug
1. he's left handed
2. he's banana pudding-handed
3. he's dog
3:09 the short random reversing scenes got me good xD
this is the best way to discover a culture period that i wasn't born enough for
Well, you should've borned more!
What's scarier than advertisements?
The 90's probably
SNES games from the early 90s like Drakkhen and OG Star Fox were actually scary in some ways.
@@nomad_borealI got the SNES bundle of games on my Switch and the frickin controls for Star Fox are so terrible 😂. I crashed so much. But that song from the first level is glorious.
Should mention my family had the game back in the 90's but now that I have experienced flying games with better handling, it's hard to return back to the finicky buttons of the 90's.
I was the same age these kids were in these clips when these commercials came out, really nostalgic to see them ytp’d
3:21 Threw me off guard.
My poor DaThings is losing her family friendlyness. 😞
Welcome to like, 2017
I’d love to see a YTP of late 90’s-Y2K era commercials.
That would be an amazing thing to see.
you've never had a miss with the credits mashups, they're amazing every time
LOL I got so hyped when i saw "The Adventures of Pete and Pete"
I knew Artie was going say some crazy stuff.
"Im a bean"
Im not disappointed
how many hershey's does it take to change a log by bolb
none! they're too busy.... their GENDER!!!
I always love the random gems of music you create for the endings. This mashup was particularly entertaining
1:46 Well historically it was seen as bad luck to eat left with your banana-pudding hand
"The front's the front; Nothing's the back" is a "filled with fill, so it's full of full"-tier joke
Which is to say I lost my shit when i first heard it, and I'll think about it occasionally in public and start chortling
2:42 love how the captions say that it's Ryan talking, because it is Ryan
As a 90s kid, this is exactly what watching TV was like.
Look! It's the Flower Girl!
the does bruno mars is gay reference spoke to my soul
"Imagine being able to enjoy commercials!"
As a 90s kid, I am happy and embarrassed to admit I enjoyed some of these ads.
@@Introbulus I grew up mostly in the early 2010's and I enjoy watching commercials/infomercials from my time too. 90's as well, I've always had a kind of second-hand fascination with the media from that decade(a kind of "born in the wrong generation" situation, if you're aware of that whole thing).
@@BinglesP I understand. I was a kid in the 90's, but prefer the 80's media.
1:25 generic 90s beat.exe has stopped responding.
2:52 Tress MacNeille jumpscare
I heard "Who loves clues" when I wasn't looking. Immediately went back like "That better've been Steve"
0:10 It's funny because Kevin Conroy actually did come out years later in the 2010's.
And now I remember that Kevin Conroy is no longer with us, which causes me to be sad...
I love the idea of a commercial saying nothing more than “Now you can get lost in New York City!”
Finally! I can figure out which guy really likes clues!
It's me 😄
Favorite quotes from this video:
- "Life is smushy enough already without a kiss on your forehead."
- "Looking for James Bond Jr.? He's totally a four. You've never met anyone!"
- "First, I'm left-handed. Second, I'm banana pudding handed."
- "The back's the front, the front's the back. The front's the front, nothing's the back."
- "You must have been scared of something, something."
- "Look it's the flower girl!"
- "Now you can get lost in New York City!"
- "Dan! Dan my man! Yeah right, I really really really really really really like you. YAY"
3:17 You know, given the nature of this board game, I'm not sure how to feel about ypur inability to work in _"YOU GOT THE DUD!"_
I also remember seeing every single one of these commercials growing up. God, I feel old...
0:51 mass destruction
Another testament to the impact left by Noisepuppet
I really expected the baby commercial to break out into Persona 3.
I NEED THAT MIX AT THE END.
Ellie please dispense the mix I will give you a large cookie.
1:33 me when my sis updates me on gossip
it's been a day and im still losing it over "girl...WHAT?"
I have finally found another person who is banana pudding-handed!
Being as I was in my 30s during the 1990s, I wasn't a fan of children's TV during that decade. But this video makes that era of television bearable. Thanks for the consistently funny work, DaThings!
Being a kid from the 90s, I was actually sometimes more entertained by these advertisements than the actual show.
I was born in 94 so my memories of the 90s are hazy, but im pretty sure i saw some of these on tv back then
3:36 I appreciate that you put in the correct number of "really"s for it to be a carly rae jepsen reference
"are you looking for James bond Jr? He's totally a four! You've never met anyone." ouch.
i love that some of the sentence mixing sounds like it's just back-and-forths
I just wanna say that you’ve been killing it with the titles lately. Love your stuff ❤
That SNES piece immediately reminded me that “Captain N: the Gamemaster” was an actual show.
“First, I’m left handed. Second, I’m banana pudding handed.”
1:51 ...there once was a ship that put to sea
And the name of the ship was the billy-of-tea!
the winds blew up, her bow dipped down, the winds blew down, her bow dipped nothing,
2:33 Mr Potato Head and his *BUTT*
0:04 "Go away!"
IM ALREADY FUCKING DYING BRO 💀💀
These Crypt of the Necrodancer mashups are fucking great.
Genuinely go back to the Sarah video just to listen to the outro.
The truth come out, does batman is gay?
That made me feel like i was being hit with every single one of bats' vehicles at once-
GIRL, WHAT?
that just caught me so off-guard 🤣
I miss noisepuppet too :(
Same
This is such a masterpiece, maybe it’s the nostalgia for commercials I vividly remember from my youth but everything in this makes me laugh. Even little stuff like the split-second Berry Berry Kix ad and “helloha” crack me up.
Throughout the whole video:
This is excellent, I love and laugh at it!
The outro hits:
*I MUST HAVE THIS MASTERPIECE!*
Seriously though, awesome editing!
"Does Batman is gay?" Is a very powerful opening line, I don't think one can do any better than that
"James Bond Jr's daring ex, Kim Possible"
Don't eat breakfeast while watching YTPs, you will choke.
0:23 that must be the most generic thing to write on someone's forehead.
2:15 I think Hulk just related to everyone who had ever wet the bed as a kid.
“Inspector gadget enters his trusty gadget, pulls the trusty lever and… (waow)… dies”
That part has me dying
And him
I laughed too hard at "Helloha". xD
Look it's the flower girl!
0:41 swear that was going into Rhythm Section Want Ad
Never thought I'd see The Adventures of Pete & Pete in a YTP
This Halloween, Dathings uploaded a special YTP commercial video for us. I never get bored when she uploads video like this.
@@C.I...dathings is a gal! :)
transphobic replies as usual i see
I’m 36 and grew up during the 90s. This unlocked laughter in me I didn’t even know was possible
Oh no! Capitalism! The scariest trick of all!!!
Enjoy your 69th like 😉
(everyone who grew up in communist country) 🙄
Only if you mean (((capitalism)))
1:41 Too hilarious
I almost threw my phone at "Suddenly, Super Mario jump scare!... Ah!"
You really brought it across the finish line with the surprise Rich Koz drop at the end
0:40 Blue Monday?
I really have to appreciate the commitment to a lost art of classic 2015 YTPs. The absolute legend is still out here keeping the format alive
*_LOOK IT'S THE FLOWER GIRL!_*
Wow, that remix at the end was incredible! It would be really good as the intro song to, like, a 90’s-themed podcast or something
We need more YTPs of Pete and Pete! Particularly Stu Benedict.
Ohhh that Crypt of Necrodancer music at the end, just perfect
I still have a few of those "Macro Machines Reversibles". I had long, long ago forgotten what they were called until your YTP brought it back.
I never expected a game grumps reference but I'm here for it. 0:09
What??
Good vid fills the noisepuppet sized hole in my youtube subscriptions page at least for a while
