How difficult is it to leave the intake and stuff in the truck still? All other videos say how you have to strip a lot of things out to remove the intake just to get to the cooler. Thoughts?
It’s not really that bad to be honest taking the intake out is easy remove drivers side battery and a couple bolts on the tray and it’s out then you yank out the intake best to have space when you’re working as space is very limited to begin with!
liked the video, but one thing that would help me since your not physically picking up the pieces as you call them out would be to put an arrow pointing to the (y tube or the doohickey). videos help me to learn the names parts that people talk about.
Hi dominic thanks for the video, quick question.I'm planning in doing this in my econoline,i saw you removed the exhaust manifold,1.what are the chances of breaking the studs.2.you think is easier to do this job in a van or in truck like yours?
I'd just leave it installed anyway, but it's nothing to shut it off with an sct3 tuner and I think sinister does make a block off plate. However, I would not advise buying sinisters delete kit. For the same price, you can have a blocked off egr and retain your stock look and it will support the ypipe as good as stock.
oh ok well I tried it, everything seems fine but when im driving it, it doesn't have the same kinda power. for example, It takes forever to take off and takes just as long when its changing gears. (its not stick) And im running out of options so I think im just gonna redo everything and put a delete kit. please let me know if you have some kind of idea with whats going on. thanks.
Your lift pump is going, that is the only reason y it would do that, my truck was doing that so I replaced the lift pump and sold it because I was having to many problems
Thelegitrager the 6.4 is turning up to be in a worse situation than the 6.0. at least there are known issues with the 6.0 and kits to fix it. I don't know or am not aware of how to fix an engine that over heats itself even with regular maintenance...
Thelegitrager if your looking for a fast dependable engine get the 6.0. When done right they will be more reliable than a 7.3 with loads more power. All 7.3s have going for them is reliability and even that is questionable they are prone to oil leaks and their transmissions are terrible and will go far before the engine does. And lastly they have absolutely no power. I might be buying a 7.3 only because its a good deal though.
Notice how all the egr delete videos are 6, 7, 8 years plus old now? Not the best idea these days considering MOT tests fail. Get cleaning or replace it. Good for giving direction as to removal instructions though.
Yes and it also very illegal. You void your warranty and are guilty of tampering with your truck's emission control system. This is illegal in every state and is a federal crime too.
I'm about to trade my 99 crew cab lariat 4x4 7.3 for a 05 king ranch 6.0 the motor is completely stock with 202k miles on it would you recommend this method to avoid any issues in the future? Or do you suppose there's a chance he purchased a non problematic 6.0 ?
No such thing as a non problematic 6.0L (I am the creator of the video, channel is not used anymore) u can weld it or buy the kit but if you have all the stuff welding is much faster
Thank you for replying I actually decided to avoid that particular trade which turned out to be a blessing cause his granny want out 2 days later dodged a bullet there..
johnathan boyd yes the 6.0L were very problematic and we're one of the last year's that international built motors for ford. The motors were more complicated then they needed to be and had many parts that caused more harm then good to the motors
+dustin caron I used to weld galvanized for years, the zinc that burns off makes you sick, like zinc poisoning. I weld stainless from time to time now, and get just as sick sometimes, but a different type. It's all harmful dude. Proper PPE is needed for all that stuff.
I welded on stainless for years, from experience and lots of OSHA classes, stainless off gasses some nasty shit. Chromium, nickel and magnesium are heavy metals that cause toxicity in your blood stream.
Kevin Simmons Yo thank you so much for this link!!!!! I was about to spend $550 on a set of charge pipes from Sinister Diesel and found them at this place for $89.79!
+ivan hernandez keep exhaust gas from going back through your engine and all the soot that comes with it. Keeps the coolant from having to cool these exhaust gases. But a big reason is in case the EGR ruptures, it has a good chance of blowing your head gaskets. Its a debate, some people get the bullet proof diesel egr cooler, and it will not fail, it takes away that problem...
if you stop exhaust gasses from entering the cooler, the egr loses its function and is effectively deleted, regardless of the egr position there will be no exhaust gasses recirculating
The Y pipe won't crack because of this...if your Y pipe cracked, it's because your EGTs were crazy high, which is a "you" problem, not an EGR delete problem.
Truck is a 2004 F350 crew cab lariat, fully loaded. Has a 12 inch skyjacker lift. Tires are 38.5 inch tall.
How long does it take to do to do this..I'm looking at doing mine soon
I did it in an afternoon. Doesn't take much.
I just don’t get why people ruin a video with music. This is not MTV
Chris Chrastina you a hater
get over it
MTV doesn’t play music
Dude. just mute and take in the information geez. and say thank you for the work.
Don't be a karen....his video..his music...
Did you re use, gaskets and seals? Is the truck still going strong this route with no codes? Thinking about doing this to my 04 F250

did you replace the intake manifold gaskets? Also did you have to add a tuner to keep from sending errors? Thanks
Do you have to put a tune on the engine for egr delete since it’s pre emissions I would think not?

Nice weld. Thanks for the video.
Do u need to do anything for the computer?? I have a 05
Good job on vid. Thanks for sharing

Truck has more room then a van
What do you do with the egr valve after you weld the cooler shut?
Just leave it or the ECU will think the EGR system has failed
I'd just leave it installed anyway, but it's nothing to shut it off with an sct3 tuner and I think sinister does make a block off plate. However, I would not advise buying sinisters delete kit. For the same price, you can have a blocked off egr and retain your stock look and it will support the ypipe as good as stock.
Why'd u weld instead of putting on a delete kit?? Trying to do the same thing to my 07 f350 king ranch crew cab.
Mainly because it is cheaper and less likely to fail, channel is outdated as I am the creator of the video and don't use this channel anymore

Pass visual inspection a whole lot better
@@smoreno3 I replaced to egr valve and mine runs fine. Very easy fix. Go to fordiesels.com
What's the best powerstroke motor to buy 6.0 6.4 or 7.3? Fastest and most dependable?
+Thelegitrager BY FAR THE EARLY 7.3 BEFORE FORD DID THEIR "IMPROVEMENTS".
+Bobby John totally agree!
Thelegitrager the 6.4 is turning up to be in a worse situation than the 6.0. at least there are known issues with the 6.0 and kits to fix it. I don't know or am not aware of how to fix an engine that over heats itself even with regular maintenance...

The 6.0 when bulletproofed. Stay away from 6.4. The 7.3 are good but transmission sucks
Will this cause a check engine light?

will just welding or covering the egr cooler ends turn on the check engine light?
Michael Reyes good question
I would think so because it’s a flow sensor
You keep the EGR valve installed and plugged in so it still thinks its working so I think no engine light.
Yes and it also very illegal. You void your warranty and are guilty of tampering with your truck's emission control system. This is illegal in every state and is a federal crime too.
@@texasbeerlord Oh no. So sad. REMOVE THIS EGR ENGINE DESTROYING EVIL.

great video. what kind of wheels are those?
38.5 inch
Why can’t every engine be as easy to work on and as reliable as a Cummins 😭
Thank you Much help !.
Did my egr delete this way. Much better and way less noticeable than the aftermarket delete.
Quick question how much this job cost on F250 2006 super duty 4x4 6.0L
At a shop it costs a pretty penny as they will actually remove the cab to do it
Such an easy job...DYS
Dam that music
Haha stainless has very little to no toxicity unless it's galvanized steel then u get that black fever
dustin caron Chromium and Nickel fumes bud...very harmful. Galvanized is toxic in a different way.

Nice tool set, what brand is it?
Mastercraft
Do you need a tuner right after doing that ? Will it throw a code or not run good without it ?
No tuner or tune required. Truck will run much nicer
This song belongs in a Honda tutorial for Christ sake
Good thing I just made a honda tutorial!
We buy all our parts from www.dieselegrdeletekits.com

What the point of this ? I'm just asking

Egr cooler leaks, also loses power do to trying to cool the exgaust
LOSE THE MUSIC
lose the whinning
Dam you could’ve played something worth listening to.
I hate my 6.0 it’s only 115k.m. and that egr broke. Why ford!!

You couldnt have made this any gayer. Thanks for wasting 4 minutes of my life.
lol
Hahahahaha
Haha!!
What’s the deal with the crap music? Your little sister pick that out?
I think your mom pick the song actually....
this is how you crack your y pipe kids DONT DO THIS spend the tiny amount on the egr delete kit
No way to crack your y pipe 😂
The Y pipe won't crack because of this...if your Y pipe cracked, it's because your EGTs were crazy high, which is a "you" problem, not an EGR delete problem.
Kevin Hancock ...and I was always under the impression that welding closed cracks; silly me!
If you guy the cheap $100 delete your Y pipe cracks because it was designed to be supported by the cooler. This is the best way to delete.
@@sciewter and what's better is this product already welded is also only 100$ to buy.
