Differential Bushing Replacement, BMW 640i

- In this video we replace a cracked differential bushing on a 2017 640i BMW. When a differential bushing is worn out, it allows for more jolty movement of the differential when driving the car, even under very minimal loads and at parking lot speeds. Replacing the old cracked bushing with a stiff new one allows for the movement of the differential to be controlled and smoothed.

The BMW shop manual says explicitly not to let the Diff hanging unsupported on the drive shafts, damaging these. They should not touch the suspension arms.

Wow nice video, I need a good mechanic like that. BMW quoted me £648 to replace the diff bush on my car, looking for someone a little cheaper but knows his job. Anyway thanks for uploading enjoyed watching it.
