Sun Yang is coached by the Australian swimming coach Dennis Cottrell, who is Grant Hackett's former coach before Grant retired from swimming. Obviously with a champion under his belt in Grant, Cottrell is going to be teaching Sun in much the same way. Sun has probably watched this race a whole bunch of times. Sport evolves, records are broken, but for more than a ten year period in history, nobody could beat Grant Hackett. He had an impressive career, to win so consistently over such a long period, and not be caught doping either. Truly impressive.
