2 Lennox units, one space with humidity issues.

- this service call was for a humidity issue. Both units were operating on arrival, and humidity was clearly elevated. Thermostats were poorly placed, one inside an office and one inside a conference room. humidity issues can be tricky, but I was able to find a refrigerant issue and leak with one unit, the other was operating properly. With a few slight adjustments and correcting the refrigerant issue, I was able to make the space comfortable again.
Shit I’m here for the accent and the quality of work…. Great work as always Steve.
🤣 Thanks, Freon!
Nice job finding that coil leak. Definitely been eyeballing that leak detector for a while now, seems to work pretty good.
Thanks! I love the fieldpiece detector. It works really well, and I haven't had any issues with it.
Love mine too found a leak on a Lennox package unit this week as well
Great Job Steve O. Saw the small bubbles on that u bend. Thinking about getting one of the Dr 82's. Haven't made my mind up yet.
Thanks, Bryan. Love the DR82, it's a great detector
I'm always learning something from your videos. Thanks for continuing to put the effort in to create and share them.

If I'm not mistaken a unit with an economizer must have y2 connected
I don't think that's true. The economiser is not a cooling stage, Y1 is still Y1, the economiser just makes the decision weather to open an outdoor damper or energize Y1.
@@EverythingHVACR maybe it depends on the manufacturer
@EverythingHVACR actually he is correct. Y1 is the economizer and Y2 is mechanical cooling...it doesn't seem correct, but it is
But if you have 2 stages, you don't have a Y3, right. The thermostat doesn't call for econo, it calls for Y1, and if the conditions don't allow, it passes the Y1 signal (24v) and brings on stage 1 compressor.
It could be a lennox thing, I don't see them as much as carrier and trane.
Is that stat an auto change over on that heat pump?
I don't remember, honestly, the thermostat wasn't an issue other than the location
@@EverythingHVACR Just wondering if the coils on heat pumps going from cold to hot in the same day could be causing metal fatigue.
