In first x men trilogy the FOX really destroyed the character of Scott Summers. In comic books he has been leader of x men for multiple times. He is a hand to hand combatant, a marvelous leader, a strategist. Both causal and die hard fans of x men will agree that Scott Summers is more stronger than how he is depicted in the movies.
But I didn't like him much bcoz he didn't let wolverine get jean 😂

I think timeline is explained in Wikipedia clearly and Rogue cut of Days of future past explain that medicine have temporary effect on some mutants but rest are detroyed like wolverine 2 and last stand.
After some research , only one confusion is gone from my mind that

I completely agree with u. Apart from Actor's awesome acting and popularity they didn't represent any new thing.
Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was great. But one of the main faults of Fox is to centre their universe around Wolverine rather than the group. Believe me I've met some people who think that Wolverine is X-Men.
Also The Last Stand was not a flop, though it had a huge drop in the second week yet it was the highest grossing film of the franchise for eight long years since its release until Days of Future Past suppressed it.
Days of Future Past was the second instalment of the new trilogy started with First Class. The main players in First Class were Charles, Eric and Raven. So it was natural continuity to highlight those characters in Days of Future Past. I felt the criticism of Days of Future Past in this video was pointless.
