Bug Hotels: How to make them.

Bug Hotels create a hospitable environment for beneficial insects in your garden. Most gardens are clean and tidy, this reduces any potential habitat for these important beneficial insects.
Installing one or more bug hotels will go a long way in creating a much needed insectary and provide needed living space for these beneficial goggas.

Thank you. Great idea. Unlike a normal beehive the bug hotels can be hidden around the garden out of sight of honey thieves and nosy people. Gorilla bee keeping at its best😉

Yes they can. However they are incredibly interstitial watch. Especially on a warm afternoon when the hotel is occupied on all floors.
The amazing array of guests is astounding.

My neighbor has a row of quince trees a few meters from where we have planted our banana/pawpaw circle. The fruit are left on the trees to rot. Would a row of bug hotels on that east facing fence help against the infestation of fruit flies in those quinces?

Unfortunately not. We know of no predators that actively prey on PF.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could find one?
