    Great ingenuity in calculating the -ve zero error by considering MSR as -1. I had developed the formula
    (N-C)* Least count where N-total Vernier divisions and C-coinciding division
    by using the length equivalence but your way is easier to remember.

    tip if you measure objects like at 0.29, measure as close to the measuring axis otherwise those jaws will bend out if you clamp your object too tightly causing a measurement error
