    David Draiman detests autotune and will not use it if he knows about it. He professionally trained and has a voice that does not require autotune. You can see him perform it live and sick on Conan and there is also a live concert performance where he performs flawlessly.

      Yes, I agree. I do wish vocal coaches would do a little research on the artist they are “reacting to” because it comes off as criticizing. I find that guys like this tend to disbelieve the capability of others simply because they themselves are not capable of doing the same thing. 🤷🏾‍♀️ He said it himself, this is the guy that sung Down with the Sickness. It's been 3 years, but this MIGHT still interest you.... David doesn't need auto tune. You won't be surprised to hear he works really hard and uses vocal coaches. One of his bandmates during an interview was very sympathetic about the question concerning auto tune and other distortive effects. He said that it's natural to David's voice. It occurs in a couple of their other songs too. He hits this one place in his voice and that's what comes out! One of his vocal coaches suggested that it might have something to do with his facial structure, but the truth is nobody knows, not even David. It just happens. I listened to you talk about how everybody's voice is unique! Here's yet another one to enjoy! I suspect that part of his unique voice is that he started out at a young age being trained as a cantor (Jewish synagogue). I've heard a cantor (my friend's dad). They have a very distinctive WAY of singing. It shows. So, maybe?...... and yet another unsolved mystery with which to occupy our minds instead of being bored!😄(I'm waiting for laundry today)

      There is also the Xfactor Australia performance of it and i think a couple more live performances of it. But as for that grit or distortion that is fully him. If you listen to all of his other songs he is well known for it and has been doing it for 20+ years. He has mastered it to a point that he can move in and out of it very naturally and without forcing it or damaging his vocal chords.

    Cool channel and reactions, but we're definately missing some gems here, these three ought to be in your list already:
    1. JINJER - Pisces (Live Session) | Napalm Records --> ruclips.net/video/SQNtGoM3FVU/видео.html
    2. NIGHTWISH - Ghost Love Score (OFFICIAL LIVE) --> ruclips.net/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/видео.html
    3. Devin Townsend performs 'Kingdom' for EMGtv --> ruclips.net/video/nubJjB95VdY/видео.html
    You're welcome...;)

    How can you react to music without wearing headphones? Don't you miss all the subtleties that just the year does not pick up? Also you cut off The 1st 10 seconds or so of the video which sets up the entire rest of the video

    • @ramseyvoicestudio
      @ramseyvoicestudio  3 года назад

      I can hear all the subtleties that I need to. Been training my ears for 10+ ears. When a singer is taking a lesson with me, they're singing in front of me in the open air. I don't have them sing into a condenser mike while I listen through a pair of headphones. Make sense?

    This isn't a negative comment, but if you're gonna talk about autotune, even though there isn't very much at all, watch the live version, its arguably better.

    0:28 - Oh, no, no no... Don't get me wrong, Disturbed is amazing, this cover is phenomenal but the only real granddaddy of reactions is *Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Live at Wacken 2013)* followed buy *Jinjer - Pisces (Live Session)* , both which you haven't reacted to yet, but it's ok, there's still time. Mark this comment, you won't regret it.
