Squatters rights came out of a congressional compromise in the 1800s. All 50 states are required to allow squatters, including "adverse possession" titles after so many years of occupancy. The actual laws vary by state. That's where the squatter laws came from.
I have years of videos documenting cruel squatter occupation of my house and my attempts of piecing my life back together: ruclips.net/p/PLy0AUjzu9p00UEKnFvaRgV_MxorSel0Iw&si=kkHaMEKz4-0LO8yh
She's a good lady? Have you lost your mind. She knows she's doing wrong. Zero question. Your perspective needs a re-boot if youre going to accept these insane laws as having any value.
easiest way to change the squatters laws is for people to squat in the homes of senators, government officials, etc. You'll see a change in the law faster than the illegal immigrants were deported from Martha's Vineyard.
And that’s where squatters should be squatting, at the rich folks homes rather than the typical working class and small time white collar workers. The middle class shouldn’t be squatted on. The rich class upper class or whatever they are should be having squatters show up to their multi million dollar homes they don’t even use
@@ooo-gh1nmthe rich can have private security, and are often on good terms with cops because they pay most of their salary, so that's never gonna happen.
They don't care. They are rich, they will just move to a other house and virtue signal about it. You don't get who are we dealing with, they have stole millions from us and now they can get away with anything.
I agree 100 percent. If it doesn't impact them they could care less. These individuals in power usually have 2 or 3 residence an can't live in them all at the same time.
Every state needs to follow suit. Because I saw a video where illegal immigrants are gonna start squatting too. They said they are gonna take our homes and by our I mean the American people.
Pretty sure The 4th Amendment already confirms every property owners power to protect it. If The People agreed to restrict the Government from unlawful seizure of property, how much more egregious the offence by your common man. This wouldn't even be a dilemma in Free America. America isn't Free any more though is it? You're all fast asleep at the wheel. Wake up America.
You have to remove squatters immediately on the day it happens. If they stay for an extended period without the owner not doing anything due to lack of knowledge it becomes a squatter situation.
@@Real.Estate.Reportthe laws initially intended to give rights to people already living there. Let’s say a couple gets divorced and one partner own the house : he can’t directly throw the other one in the street
Anyone can pull off squatting. Paperwork is very easy to fake. VERY EASY. that being said, I see no problem in someone taking over AN OBVIOUSLY ABANDONED HOUSE. legally. It's only trespass if its posted. And tresspass is null and void with very easily produced papers.
One really quick way to get these laws changed is to get some squatters to move into the houses of the lawmakers. Once they personally feel the effects of this situation, they'll be fully on board with changing the laws to solve this problem.
Unfortunately that probably wouldn’t fix the problem. Many of these cities where squatters are a problem the politicians would have special reasons to actually get the squatters removed by the police.
Kind of like how people who protest shouldn't be protesting in the roads. They should be protesting at the politician's office's homes and everything else involving what they do
Because there trying to get people to not want to own homes...you'll own nothing an be happy!! Look into the UN an wat there plans are for us an u find all u need to know...
Squatters can, (and do), produce rental agreements. Fake or not, cops are not judges in determining the validity of a rental agreement. This would fall under the jurisdiction of a civil court of law - which requires the homeowner to sue. The "squatter's rights" are actually tenant rights until it is determined by a civil court of law that the rental agreement is invalid. This process could take thousands of dollars and months and months as they secure lawyers, file documents, and wait for the court date.
Florida is super close to passing House Bill 621, which criminalizes squatters through an immediate affidavit eviction through the Sheriff's Office, without delays like a typical eviction notice. Not a single member of the State Senate or House has voted nay, meaning Florida is one of the closest states to finalizing a solution to this problem.
@@juri_xiii9977 Considering how America is relatively young, errors as such are still being worked out. Like I said, not a single Florida State Representative voted against the bill. America isn't supportive of squatters, there was a mistake in legislation that is being worked on. Glad to see your patriotism, but avoid being ignorant next time.
When did “trespassing” and/or “breaking and entering” become “squatting” and something that’s tolerated for more than one second?? Flash handled this brilliantly.

@luvbug1318 There isnt a 'situation' that should allow someone to steal another person's home and/or property regardless of how destitute they are. The commandment isn't 'Thou shalt not steal, unless you you think you need it more than the rightful owner." If it's not yours, it's not yours.

Squatting is a good thing. Giant investment companies own entire empty neighborhoods, having complete control of the amount of money they charge for rent. They are putting these stories in the media to popularize the basically non-existent issue, so when the collapse does come, we legally will not be able to live in their empty properties. Florida legislature is in the process of approving a law that will force squatters out of the home and the sheriff's office will have to remove the squatters once the true homeowner supplies paperwork proving ownership. HB 621 is expected to pass and be signed by the governor and go into effect on 7/1/2024.
I know someone who set up a tent in FL in a building with no roof or floors. It was brick walls & everything else was gone. The police made them move out even though they pretended to have permission to be there.
I’ve heard of some people, even a few people I knew of in Tennessee, who had squatters get in their house when they went away for a business trip… Do you know how they got the squatters out after their bank and the government wouldn’t help them in even when they went to get papers they refused to allow them to evict them … They just stopped paying their mortgage and their property taxes and the utilities even though they were told they weren’t allowed to stop those …. The house closed because why pay for something you’re not allowed to be living in?! They saved the money they were paying for those things to put away to be able to buy a house outright and start all over because they were gonna have to whether they went to court and paid the money so they decided to stop going to court and just save the money from the mortgage they were already paying…. Took a couple years, but it got them out because the bank sure as hell isn’t gonna let anybody stay in there once they take possession of it… It’s odd to me that a bank would be willing to help you get back your investment because once the house is foreclosed on, usually those tenants will destroy the house …. Which makes it less valuable than it was when you were living in it.. Apparently we have a problem of people not caring about what’s best in the long run and just care about immediate catering to what looks good at the moment…. In the end , everyone loses, but at least someone can start over.

So you believe that begging the political parasites to make more worthless words on paper when they are not profiting directly from it? 😂 The political parasites and their enFORCERS are the biggest squatters in our realm
It’s pretty simple. Home owners should have to register a lease with the county. If the renter doesn’t have a lease that’s registered . Then they don’t have any right to be on the property.
Change what laws ? You don't even know do you ? So how could you say who all is in agreement ? But for starters , changing the laws about adverse possession would not solve problem one with these devious minded people who search out and move into what they view as easy pickens . Although it would probably be good to work on a national list of reference to then be able to prove someone is guilty of serial squatting and had the mens rea it took to do it . I've been thinking one way property owners could protect themselves would be to publish an add in a news paper , or some other public notice instrument . To say they would not rent / lease or let someone habitate in said property without such n such documentation from this date . Which would then help alleviate the courts doubt on there being an oral agreement or implied lease . But simply taking an active interest in your property while vacant and having a good report with the neighbors would be a great line of defense against the breaking and entering / trespassing moment .

@@Real.Estate.ReportMy company has done this type of work for the last 4 years as a branch of my Private Investigation Company. I'm pretty sure Flash got the idea from us as I remember talking to him a while back and he asked a lot of questions. After I told him to check his state laws but most states will not kick ANYONE out who has a legally signed lease I remember hearing about his situation. It seems as if Flash has gotten kind of "soft" since his first deal when he kicked the squatters out of his mother's house. I suppose he is a bit afraid of getting sued or hurt. We go in with 6-8 big guys. We just march right into the home and tell the squatters we have a legally signed lease and we are taking over. They can easily see that we are all armed. Then we go into the bedrooms they are using and we "claim them" for our own use and throw their stuff out into the main living area. Then we install wireless cameras (for our own safety against being accused of illegal things) and we crank up the music really loud. We also set up "party lights" aka high-wattage strobe lights in the areas the squatters have been relegated to. We tell them they need to watch out at the parties we will be hosting starting that night because they get huge and out of control. Some of the guys that come to them have been accused of SA but never convicted LOL. At that point, 90% of the squatters start gathering their stuff up and leave. We have had a couple that lasted up to 12 hours and only two who lasted longer than that. One made it 23 hours and another made it 29 hours. We keep track of our success record for advertising and pride reasons. We are 137-0 against squatters. We do NOT break any laws but we do give the idea that we might. We have been known to bend a few. We also alert law enforcement before we go to a property and they always want to see the videos of how we do it LOL. By doing it this way and with our successful track record, IF the cops have to come, they are always on our side. We also do not hesitate to call CPS if we feel there are children in danger and often we tell the squatters with kids to have them go outside to play while we get "settled in". We don't want children to be traumatized. One of my Investigators adopted 3 kids from a squatter addicted to crack a couple of years ago. She willingly gave them up to foster care and also gave up her parental rights. We will always help squatters secure housing if they ask and act reasonably, especially if they have kids. I have even "housed some of them" in a guest cabin on my property for a period of time. But I do warn them about bad things happening if they try squatting lol. Most of the squatters are just losers looking for a free pass on housing so we don't help them at all. We have only had a handful of times where things got hairy and it turned physical. We called the cops right away and with our video we were able to charge them with assault and of course, they got taken to jail which means they are gone from the home.
Squatters' rights were intended to apply to fully abandoned properties that were at the point of falling into disrepair, not private residences that are just currently unoccupied. This is another way local governments are siding with criminals to sow division and discontent.
The devil is in the details. Abandoned turned into ‘temporarily unoccupied’. “Oops” Probably should have thought of that before passing the legislation
That's what is about to happen to where I live. Home owner has passed away almost 20 years ago and I pay the mortgage in their name. I've maintained the place and kept it looking nice and livable, have rented rooms out from time to time. I need to invoke squatters rights at this point.
@slosubies I agree 100% Now the question is, what is the Governments, local and Federal, motive for sowing division and discontent? Why would adults who know the difference between what's right and what's wrong and that have been elected to positions of leadership, what Motive could they harbor that they are willing to destabilize their own communities and even the entire Nation?
Yeah I was also thinking that if you are truly that desperate and also happen to find an abandoned house that is 100% abandoned(like clear signs that nobody has been there for decades, house is half falling apart, leaves and dirt on the inside of the house etc). Then it hurts nobody if a squatter stays there. But obviously it's not a good idea to go to a house where they know has an owner and be like "ey you moved out for 1 month so it's ours now". Ehhhhhhh the fuck? What is the thinking process there??? They can clearly see the house is not ACTUALLY abandoned by just optics alone.
Part of the reason for squatters' rights was to prevent people from forming up a posse and violently evicting folks, getting things to go through the legal system. Folks get their property back, the sheriff is the guy showing up to escort the squatters off the property, nobody gets hurt. All of that depends on the legal system functioning properly. When the courts take months to get to the case and the police won't do anything, that's when it really breaks down. Unfortunately, this Squat the Squatters approach might be the best option for a while. The big issue will be when it overlaps with gang issues and you've got an armed group inside of the house, rather than just a couple of entitled bums.
Occupying an unoccupied house doesn’t make someone criminal. It makes someone homeless. What they mean by criminal is that maybe they also have been murdering people

Yes, but back then, they could only occupy. The new 2024 laws in NY, Oregon, Washington, etc. say that they own your home after squatting for 30 days. They can literally sell your house after proving that they have been illegally occupying it for only 30 days. And you can't do anything legal to kick them out in less than 30 days. Imagine how many more squatters that will motivate? And they won't be leaving the house to go to work, they'll just show up with 30 days worth of rations and camp out until its theirs. Charlie LeDuff had a segment on a local Detroit news network about a decade ago where he was doing the same thing. It was called “Squatting on the Squatter”, you can find clips of it on RUclips.
Squatters had to have broken in to begin with. It blows my mind that the police overlook the initial crime of breaking and entering and now all of a sudden they have rights to be there
When the cops show up just tell them "No this is all my stuff, I live here, here's my lease. Get these trespassers off my property." If squatters risked losing all their stuff, they'd be far less likely to do it.
Nope, the squatters have their own fake leases printed up to show the police and dispute your claim. The police then throw up their hands and tell the owner they have to settle it in court. A great many of these squatters could care less about loosing their stuff. 80% of the time they abandon it and leave it for you to clean up and haul away.
@idareya7250 Compassion for what? Someone who would defraud someone and steal what they probably spent the majority of their lives building up? Make no mistakes, these people are committing evil, and many of them aren't doing it because they need to to survive. They are doing it because a lot of homeowners have to do a cash settlement or wait for 2 years paying utilities for these thieves. No, no compassion for the criminals, just for their victims.
@@idareya7250They are trying to steal a house, they should go to jail. You also don't realise that in some cases they squat gain ownership and sell it, and then do it again
Just an FYI for anyone who’s ever in a situation where they have squatters: 1-When calling the cops don’t say “there are squatters in my home” that’ll 90% of the time make them hesitate to intervene as they would most likely say “this is a civil matter you have to go through the legal eviction process” 2-Call the police and state “there is a burglary in progress or an intruder in my home” 9xs outta 10 they’ll respond with urgency ready to investigate the crime as such. 3-If you go through the eviction proceedings and the squatter won’t budge remember if they have “squatters rights” so do you with that being said like Flash Shelton move in and make them as uncomfortable as possible (unless you feel it’s too dangerous of course) 4-DO NOT disconnect the electricity or water unfortunately that is illegal in spite of them being there illegally they actually still have rights (unfortunately) 5-If you have a rental property or unoccupied house always have someone check on it regularly and even if you go there sometimes to hang out just to make it appear occupied never leave it unattended for long periods of time that is a squatters dream! 6-If unfortunately you do encounter this f’d up situation DO NOT confront them alone even if you have a legal weapon always get law enforcement involved and document everything! Hopefully this helps someone if need be.
We had squatters in a rural property that we bought. We showed up, blasted baby shark on loop right outside the front door on a speaker, opened the garage parked a car in there and blasted the horn. They left after about 2 hours.
You have to take the law into your own hands when the government taxes you to prevent things like this but then fails completely. Good work. You solved the problem. Baby shark!
'Good lady; hard times??'🧐 I am quite sure that there are plenty of better options than STEALING someone's house. I am so proud of him taking up for his mother, and doing his research to do it according to the silly laws that could have possibly landed him in jail ❤
it use to be worse in the U.K over hear if u squated in a home for 12 or more years you would become the legal land owner as hear in london we have rich foreign investors so this has happend in multi million pound homes
There is a AUD $1,000,000 house that I am aware of in Australia that has been empty now for over 15 years. It has a regular Gardner turn up every 3 weeks to trim everything. The owners reside in China. I have often thought if I had moved in when I first left my wife, no one would have been aware that I was living there, and legally after only 7 years it would have been mine. Even thou I had been homeless a couple of times, it's not the type of man I am. I'd prefer to be homeless than steal someone else's things/home.
In NY, Washington and some other states, the new laws say you just need to prove residence (such as with a bill of some sort mailed to your name at that address) for 30 days and you can legally own and sell the house. A bunch of these homes have recently gone up for sale by the squatters, which is why these squatter stories are suddenly trending. It is the easiest way to legally get hundreds of thousands of dollars in straight up profit. Why would criminal types rob banks anymore?
Man, my heart goes out to you. Divorce is crushing no matter what the circumstances, and homelessness on top of that… I really hope that you have been able to look back and find the Lord has redeemed all of that, especially since you resisted the temptation.
@@LM-xw7ii Material things have never been high on my priority list mate, I am almost content in my heart, my sin's are forgiven, and I am able to bless others, what more does the heart need?
So a few things to know. 1) in most cases, squatters have to be in place for a certain time period before they have any protection. I believe it's 30 days. Before that, it's breaking and entering. 2) squatting isn't new. The laws on squatting go back 150 years and the practice goes back as long as there's been property. The idea was that if a home was abandoned because the occupant died or moved without selling because the land was worthless then it basically became free game for someone to move in and make their own. And the laws were created to stop people from coming back years later and staking claim to something they abandoned. The problem is, humans being what they are, they figured hot how to abuse the law for personal gain. If there's a law out there, there's someone finding a loophole. 3) The reason why there's reluctance to change squatters laws is that tenant laws are closely tied to it. Imagine you have an abusive landlord. They break into your rented house and destroy your copy of the lease. They then call the police and say you are trespassing. You can point to the furniture, mail and other facts to say you live there, but can't produce that lease. With the laws as they are, the tenant has the right to a proper eviction and a month to leave. That's where squatters are abusing the law and that's what makes legislation like Florida so recklessly dangerous. Yes, it breaks the squatter problem, but it now allows criminal landlords to abuse law abiding citizens. Law is a tricky thing. By giving too much power to one side or the other, you enable one set of criminals or another. That's why squatters and by extension tenant laws tended to favor the more vulnerable tenant at the expense of landowners.
I'm going to disagree that they're tied with the protections of tenant laws because if God forbid a landlord tried to throw you out by claiming that you are a trespasser despite the fact that you've signed a lease and I've been renting the property you can just show that you have been paying the rent with your bank account transactions and the landlord had been receiving the rent with their own bank account records
The problem of squatters is greater than the problem of hypothetical evil landlords. If one must be dealt with at the expense of the other, it is better to deal with the first. Besides, there's other ways of proving you live there than showing the lease; like the other guy said, bank statements would suffice.
Yup, make sure you stock up on industrial barrels, and quicklime. Get to know some legitimate businessmen in the waste removal business. Just in case you might need some special "waste" removed. Whatever they charge, I'm sure their expertise would be well worth it. Oh, squatters? No, I wasn't talking about squatters, is that what you's thought?
"I came home to find burglars in my home and they forced me to defend myself" really does seem to be the better option until more states follow Florida's example on this.
I understand about feeling bad for people, but this happened to me and my wife. We were so upset about what happened to our home, that we wept and cried for days not knowing how we would be able to get the money to get the bugs, the smell and the dirt out of our home. We worked and struggled so very hard in our lives to buy it, and in one week, it was all destroyed. Just like everything else. You feel bad for those people until it happens to you!
@@denisescally7090 I think the only time it makes sense to feel bad for them is when they were scammed without knowing. A lot of squatters are actually people who thought they were tenants. Scammers will find vacant houses, post about renting them out somewhere like Craigslist, and then get first month, last month, and security deposit from the victim... then they disappear. Meanwhile the squatter doesn't even realize they're squatting until it's too late.
Why tf would anyone feel bad for them in the first place?? People work hard for their homes, they can too. I've never felt bad for someone who is entitled enough to just take up residence in someone else's hard earned home and no one else should either.
Squatters rights seems like it's some law from 1876 where you'd find a Shack in the middle of nowhere that was overgrown and you assume no one's living there so you move in. It doesn't seem realistic for metropolitan areas.
@@lordchaa1598 right! I later looked it up and I wasn't too far off, but it wasn't an unreasonable law back then imo, but in 2024 if I leave my house unattended for a bit it doesn't mean that I've abandoned my house, especially if I own it outright or currently paying a mortgage
@@DaSmoothClutch My question is why do they need a bill to deal with squatters? Why can't the police just use decrement and discretion to figure out who is telling the truth. The home owner can provide a copy of the lease and if it's notarized thats even better. They can also provide utility bills, Title, and even proof of hone owners insurance to the cops. More than likely your next door neighbors can even vouch for you and confirm that you live there and that they never seen the squatter before. If it's out of the cops league then they could have a detective sent to your house to investigate the situation right away.
Because the police are not judges who interpret the law. Police enforce the laws. Police departments probably do not have resources to assign detectives to every alleged squatter scenario. Squatters by squatting become residents who therefore have rights under existing landlord tenant laws. New legislation would disambiguate legal tenants from squatters.
@@lordchaa1598 no. squatters rights and tenants rights are one and the same. They are there because this is a civil matter, not criminal. Cops are not judges, so if the squatter forged documents (which they almost always do)the police have no choice but to believe the documents, even if you are there and have the actual documents. Criminal charges for theft or trespassing can/will not be filed until after the civil case is done. Squatters rights don't actually exist, its just tenants rights rebranded for the situation, its slang in a sense.
Yes and no. For example, flash could have called the cops, if they broke in and trespassed. But you have to do it during the act of trespassing. Once their in, for days or weeks, that’s where their “rights” begin. His mom clearly didn’t know it was happening, so she couldn’t call cops for trespassing. And you can EASILY Make a fake lease. But you can’t fake breaking into a house
@@jamesbizs Yes the best line of defense for a property owner while having a vacant property . Is to take an active interest in it and have a good report with the neighbors . To then catch the moment of criminal activity . Albeit I have been thinking one way that could help alleviate the courts doubt of there being an oral agreement or implied lease. Would be to publish in a news paper or other public notice instrument. That from this date , they would not rent / lease or let someone habitate in said property without such n such documentation . And if enough people started doing it creating lists that these devious minded property possessors would check prior to squatting since they look for the easy pickens . Would create another line of defense deterrent against being victimized this way .
the thing is squatters rights only ever applied to abandoned property or land. the laws are in fact just . they're just not being followed honestly. the courts know exactly what squatters rights are ....but are playing dumb
I remember that guy! I watched his video showing how he got rid of the squatters in his mom's house. That squatter was a frikkin prison guard! That is fantastic that he is helping other people!!!
When my father died, his house (the family house) was empty. One of my brothers, the lawyer, was worried about squatters moving in and we needed to take steps to prevent that. In our area, we don't get too many squatters. It's nothing like the situation in the video. My other two brothers who lived in the same city, said "there's no problem". If someone started squatting one day, the next day they would be out of the house. Period. Like in the video, the people would have one day to remove their items or all would be gone. They would have no other choice. My brother, the lawyer, just said "don't tell me any details". Fortunately it never came to be an issue.
In NYC I had squatters who took over my apartment WHILE I WAS LIVING THERE!!!!! I lived in a nice duplex on the UES in Manhattan, and one came in as a "roommate", after 30 days, he was getting mail, had his degenerate friends coming in and out all night, they were meth heads and God knows what else they were doing. They painted my wood floors black, ruined EVERYTHING, cops couldn't do anything, finally the DEA came for them at 5am one day, and they weren't even there, and I almost had a heart attack. By that time, I'd already been evicted because of them after being offered a 2 year lease renewal prior to their invasion. Life was HELL. my dad is still helping me pay off the damages they caused, 4 years later!!!! The squatters rights don't just apply to abandoned buildings (as I thought), or vacant buildings - THEY LITERALLY CAN TAKE YOUR HOME FROM YOU.
I had a tenant that wouldn't pay rent.....I called an ambulance and the police then went to MY house. I left in the police car. The guy never came back after he healed. And the case was dismissed....
Guy not far from me was off in the military, so away for a while. Came back to squatters in his home. Law said he had to evict them. Some awesome bikers heard of military man, who while off defending our country, squatters moved into his house. Bikers showed up, squatters moved on that day. Find yourself in this, befriend some amazing, awesome bikers. LOL Edit. Florida: The bill allows law enforcement to immediately remove squatters who do not have a lease authorized by the property owner. It also adds criminal penalties, including designating intentionally presenting a fraudulent lease as a misdemeanor and making it a felony to intentionally sell or lease someone else’s property or intentionally cause more than $1,000 in property damage while squatting or trespassing. So there is hope if you live where there is still sanity!
Kinda yeah I am with you. I have 2 things to say after: MY PROPERTY IS MINE. And Hard times or not, these are not going away and the more legislation there is, the worse it becomes. These hard times policies and procedures are making life difficult for people who could legitimately help
Here where i live there's not such thing as squatters rights, so this situation looks insane to me. It would make sense if it was legal to occupy abandoned property, but people moving in a house that is currently for sale and claming rights to it is straight up a corporate raid.

Squatters rights came out of a congressional compromise in the 1800s. All 50 states are required to allow squatters, including "adverse possession" titles after so many years of occupancy. The actual laws vary by state.
That's where the squatter laws came from.

And that’s where squatters should be squatting, at the rich folks homes rather than the typical working class and small time white collar workers. The middle class shouldn’t be squatted on. Property owners pay taxes for their properties. Those local governments are disrespecting the hands that feed them by enabling freeloading squatters.
I’ve heard of some people, even a few people I knew of in Tennessee, who had squatters get in their house when they went away for a business trip…
Do you know how they got the squatters out after their bank and the government wouldn’t help them in even when they went to get papers they refused to allow them to evict them …
They just stopped paying their mortgage and their property taxes and the utilities even though they were told they weren’t allowed to stop those ….
The house closed because why pay for something you’re not allowed to be living in?!
They saved the money they were paying for those things to put away to be able to buy a house outright and start all over because they were gonna have to whether they went to court and paid the money so they decided to stop going to court and just save the money from the mortgage they were already paying….
Took a couple years, but it got them out because the bank sure as hell isn’t gonna let anybody stay in there once they take possession of it…
It’s odd to me that a bank would be willing to help you get back your investment because once the house is foreclosed on, usually those tenants will destroy the house …. Which makes it less valuable than it was when you were living in it..
Apparently we have a problem of people not caring about what’s best in the long run and just care about immediate catering to what looks good at the moment….
In the end , everyone loses, but at least someone can start over.

The political parasites and their enFORCERS are the biggest squatters in our realm
It’s pretty simple. Home owners should have to register a lease with the county. If the renter doesn’t have a lease that’s registered . Then they don’t have any right to be on the property.
Except for the squatters, everybody is against this being legal, so why can’t we get the laws changed?
Because people keep voting for it thinking they're a "good person" by voting Democrat.
Because of democrats. Try to keep up with who is destroying our nation.
Can't even keep men out of women's bathrooms or make theft illegal

The hero none of us deserved, but that everyone needed.
“Oops”
Probably should have thought of that before passing the legislation
That's what is about to happen to where I live. Home owner has passed away almost 20 years ago and I pay the mortgage in their name. I've maintained the place and kept it looking nice and livable, have rented rooms out from time to time. I need to invoke squatters rights at this point.
@slosubies I agree 100%
Now the question is, what is the Governments, local and Federal, motive for sowing division and discontent?
“They might be a criminal” is a really really generous statement. They ARE a criminal, a thief, a bad person.

Then they'll sell and repeat the process. Why would anyone do anything else for a living?

And again if you’re losing your house you get notices saying you’re not paying your bill/rent for months in advance before being evicted or foreclosed on. Normal people sell everything they can so they can pay their rent or mortgage plus they start looking for something smaller or less expensive that they can afford. This changed when states and cities decided they were going all the way Lefty.
😂😂😂 Baby Shark that’s inspired!

You have to take the law into your own hands when the government taxes you to prevent things like this but then fails completely. Good work. You solved the problem. Baby shark!
Ah, the Noriega treatment.
that sounds too good to be true
Turns out, he does know squatt.
😂 Hilarious
'He had a weapon and surprised me in the dark"
That's how you deal with squatters.
You can go to jail for that. So you have to be clever.
You better not try that in a Democrat run area.
Why tell anybody anything? That's the instant problems begin. If I had squatters, nobody would know about it.
Edit: spelling.
@@magnusatheos7301 That's a very valid point.
See there is your problem, you let them go with the ability to speak.
This is an example of an incompetent lazy legal system gone awry. Criminally lazy judges. Pathetic laws. Squatters should be charged as felons.
'Good lady; hard times??'🧐 I am quite sure that there are plenty of better options than STEALING someone's house.
I am so proud of him taking up for his mother, and doing his research to do it according to the silly laws that could have possibly landed him in jail ❤

I agree willing to hit people .. hard times? How do they have so much nice stuff
Dude, whoa. I hadn’t realize that they actually had the right to sell it under state laws. That’s ludicrous!
Truly an honorable person supporting rich absentee owners with multiple homes by not occupying them when you were in need. Just like Jesus preached.
It’s time to squat at lawmakers homes.
Yep

You're reading my mind, after all, it's only fair LOL
yesssssss
I think if someone squatted in my house they would be leaving in the middle of the night wrapped in plastic and blankets
50 gal drum and mountain dew lots of dew lol
Leave em outside. That's the only advantage to having feral hogs on your property.

@RaptorFromWeegee you seem to be familiar with Snowtown or possibly Santiago Meza Lopez "El Pozolero"
If I go on vacation and someone is in my home when I get back, I’m not calling the cops
yup. i read u loud n clear *wink*
The laws are creating vigilantes
If the cops would do more than come to the scene and do paperwork, I'd be more inclined to call them for help.
I Don't blame you, 'cops don't care about anyone but themselves anyway.
I'm really sorry to hear that... that's awful
Exactly. I don’t feel bad for squatters!!
Who in their right mind would feel sorry for squatters?!
Protect this man at all costs 🙏
The so called judges & "law-makers" need to have these Squatter's Squat On Them!--That Will Change It 😅
DeSantis just gave the rights back to homeowners this week here in Florida.
Squatters rights seems like it's some law from 1876 where you'd find a Shack in the middle of nowhere that was overgrown and you assume no one's living there so you move in. It doesn't seem realistic for metropolitan areas.
That’s exactly the type of scenario these rights were intended for.
@@DaSmoothClutch
My question is why do they need a bill to deal with squatters?
He needs to start a business and open a branch in every state.
I remember this story. The son, "Flash" is a great son!
He boldly took control of the situation.
Kudos to him!
Just the fact that there's laws out there protecting people who are trespassing on your property...
They have no fear of the law because it is more in favor of the criminals. What a terrible situation for the actual owner.
I remember that guy! I watched his video showing how he got rid of the squatters in his mom's house. That squatter was a frikkin prison guard! That is fantastic that he is helping other people!!!
We need this crew EVERYWHERE!
Flash is a Goat! I just came across the first squatter video from him the other week he’s a legend!
Omg ... that's horrible
Was his name Steven 😂?

That's what you get for voting democrat...
Hard to believe things like this happen in America, but it sure does. Horrendous.
