Thanks for watching Dave and your kind comment, yes a good performance throughout and some assistance was expected but great to see her back, looked colder than it was, cheers nige👍
Thanks for watching David and your very kind comments, not to bad really as I was well wrapped up and by the time I’d trudged up the hill with all my gear the internal central heating was in full flow 😂 cheers 👍
Great coverage Nige I bet you were freezing on Shap and Ais Gil I only could get as far as Hellifield in time and caught it with the skin of my teeth! Hellifield was bitter and it wasnt Boddys! with horizontal sleet and hailstone.Well done mate yet again and thanks for sharing. Brian
Thanks Brian, it wasn’t to bad really, looked worse than it was and I was well wrapped up, glad to hear you got out for her although Hellifield is quite exposed to the weather, it’s Galatea tomorrow as far as Preston if you’re out, cheers nige👍
Thanks Stephen, all in all a good run from Tangmere on her maiden Belle tour and diesel assistance was expected being on this but good to see her back, cheers 👍
Thanks Derek much appreciated, it’s was good to see her back again although the conditions were less than favourable for the return but she managed well with some assistance, cheers 👍
"Great" and "bother" in that order - great photography from the "Panmeister" again, and "bother" I missed it as a perambulated by the WCML in Penrith this morning - all I saw was a down Pendo! I really must pay closer attention to the schedules! (I was on a "domestic mission", which, at least (thankfully) I completed successfully!) Looking forward for another classic season of steam action in our neck of the woods ...
Thanks David, wasn’t looking favourable at Shap Wells when I first got there with the wind direction but that changed for the better and then the lovely sunshine appeared, yes I was expecting more snow at Aisgill, hope you got some good shots, cheers 👍
Nice work Nige, youve cracked it again ! Now for my thought for today. Wouldn't it be great to a steam banker fror the climb up to the summit ? Perhaps we may see that in the future 😁👍👍. All the best & keep 'em coming.
Thanks for watching Barry and your kind comment, we had a steam banked tour back in 2001 which I published about a year ago wasn’t in HD but have a look as it’s how it used to be, cheers 👍
12 on in these conditions, I'd say pretty remarkable, inspite of Diesel . Could see this sort of performance from one of her big sisters, but this is Tangmere after all!
Thanks for sharing this Nige. Lovely footage of the old girl. Good to see her on the Belle despite the unfavourable conditions you had to endure. I was hoping this would be my first steam fix of the year after an enforced hiatus but got delayed in the traffic trying to get past Preston. Take care - Chris
Thanks Chris, yes it’s great to see her with the N/ Belle, would have like a bit more snow still we got some lovely sunshine on Shap, shame you got caught in traffic but hope you can catch Galatea tomorrow, cheers nige👍
Congratulations for braving the weather! Great footage from fantastic viewpoints. Are you able to advise on a good source or sources for steam train movements on the network?
Thanks for watching Ray and your kind comments, as Steve mentions Railway Herald is the best, click on railtours and the calendar comes up so you can see what’s booked for the year as well as what’s new page for up dates, cheers 👍
Nice use of varied camera angles. Mastering the art of being in more than one place at once really pays off!
Thanks Andrei for your very kind comments, cheers 👍
Superb coverage of The Northern Belle Nige, Tangmere looking and sounding great. Regards, Jeff.
Thanks Jeff, a great performance for her first Northern Belle outing, looking forward to the next one, regards nige👍

Thanks Steve, the morning turned out much better than expected but the return was quite the opposite, no time off for good behaviour 😂 cheers 👍
Absolutely fantastic footage, again . The adverse weather adds extra drama, but you must have been frozen.
Thanks for watching David and your very kind comments, not to bad really as I was well wrapped up and by the time I’d trudged up the hill with all my gear the internal central heating was in full flow 😂 cheers 👍
Cracking footage nige, and a nice pan on shap. Shame the sun didn’t stay out at aisgill!

Thanks Austin, yes excellent conditions on Shap but quite the opposite at Aisgill, diesel assistance was expected but wasnt spoilt by it, cheers 👍
Marvellous shots in challenging conditions even if the diesel was giving it heaps.👍

Thanks for watching Martin and your kind comment, that’s the only problem with Station as there’s always that chance of being blocked, cheers 👍
Great work Nige. Nice angles at both locations. Thought there was going to be more snow around. Got her at Greenholme and Settle Jn. A cold day.👍
Thanks David, wasn’t looking favourable at Shap Wells when I first got there with the wind direction but that changed for the better and then the lovely sunshine appeared, yes I was expecting more snow at Aisgill, hope you got some good shots, cheers 👍

Nige and myself use Railway Herald website that normally has times for tours.
Thanks for watching Ray and your kind comments, as Steve mentions Railway Herald is the best, click on railtours and the calendar comes up so you can see what’s booked for the year as well as what’s new page for up dates, cheers 👍
Great Nige, as usual. I’ve seen better weather! One day we’ll bump into each other. 👍
Thanks Ian, it wasn’t to bad but was hoping for more snow, will catch you sometime I’m sure, cheers 👍
