Lmao “nearly hit us in the eye”. You had me dying. Great video though. Also now I get what broke and where the reinforcement is on the new one. Great explanation and video is on point. Really appreciate it and glad ExtremeRate customer service rectified your problem. Hopefully mine don’t break and hopefully one day they give us spares in the kit when we first get it.
@@CraigsChannel Not the original poster but I've had mine since May. Mine are fine as well. Is it just pressing it too many times it snaps off? I use mine all the time
I had a ribbon cable break on the Decade kit for PS4 due to user error several months after I bought it. I sent them a message asking if I could buy a replacement and they sent it to me for free. I love the customer service of this company.
Yeah their customer service is next level, they're a really good company for how they treat customers. It's just a shame my paddle snapped, but they've fixed the issue by the looks of things 😁
@@CraigsChannel It's a good thing they fixed the issue, though. It means they're dedicated to quality products. The new paddles seem to be sturdier, so that's good.
I keep getting messaged from people asking when the 4 button kit is coming, I honestly have no idea they just send me stuff to review and ask to make videos, I don't know what goes on behind closed doors 😄
I wish I knew this a week ago when mine snapped 😫. My paddle (same as yours) snapped but it was a perfect line right down the middle where extremerate have put the new bit of plastic. Was the old paddle as well, so I ended up ordering a new back kit.
That sucks, they always offer a year warranty so you maybes should have just messaged them. I honestly didn't think mine would ever snap, but they did 😄
@@CraigsChannel I’ve messaged them now so they’re sorting something which is great. I thought the same. It’s funny really because after it snapped I was sitting there thinking of ways to reinforce it like they’ve done with the new bit of plastic, but looks like they’ve beat me to it. Have you managed to tryout the news buttons back paddle version of the PS5 controller yet or are you still awaiting TBC date for them to be released?
@@sxm- They emailed me the other day to try it but I think my emails are messed up, loads of companys spam me asking to test stuff and it's messed my account. I'll double check they got my reply as I really want to try the new buttons
I always have my pad plugged in to the USB so never just run from the battery. They won't use more battery like I don't think as there isn't really much extra to drain the power, like say you fitted the LED kit that would drain the battery more
My sons snapped just like that. The replacement they sent us was exactly the same as the old one though. Also the attachment I ordered didn’t work for my controller unfortunately because it’s a bdm-020 version so I had to return it..
Did you tell them they didn't send the uprated paddles? Their customer service is usually amazing I've had no issues so far. I was a bit shocked this even snapped, but at least they've fixed the problem
Can you do a giveaway. I tried building the controller myself but failed, because so parts were already broken in the back button, so my confidence went down
I've never added the back buttons and LED kit before but have read other people have. All I've got installed on pad is back buttons, digital triggers and adjustable analog sticks
I've done a couple of videos for extremerate on their channel as they don't speak English, so always happy to help anybody who is stuck or has an issue 😁
How long you had had the kit? I thought they were sensitive to start but I'm used to them now. I wouldn't add springs or glue in case you brake anything, but I wish you luck if you do 😄
Sorry Nick didn't see this. It lasted me 3 months, some people said there's only lasted around 4 weeks, but hopefully the new version lasts me longer. They emailed after they seen this video and said they're working on another set of paddles with even more durability

I seen another photo on twitter of somebody else's who snapped but it was in a total different place, hope there isn't two weak points

My right one has issues sometimes it didn't work, i have to press hard to make it work and they are the metal paddles
With all these upgrades like back buttons clicky triggers etc.. how long is battery life?

Any tips to make the buttons less sensitive? Keen to fine a solution because I’m hitting them by accident all the time. Superglue and a small spring?😅

Put a piece of velcro under the paddles. The soft end. No need to actually stick it. It helps dampen the paddles and make them a bit harder to press.
@@khaledassaf6356 thanks for the tip! Huge difference!
Where do I send extremerate a message? I'm trying to get a replacement too
Twitter is probably your best bet. Both side of mine snapped, left in the place they've upgraded and the right hand side one snapped a little higher
How long were you using it before it eventually snapped?
