      Happy you liked the video. Tally isn't all that bad, its obviously no rockies, but Tom Brown is a fun place to ride. Not too bad of a drive to some stuff in GA, AL either. Go try coldwater mountain.

    Great video. Just did the WE yesterday, on July 2nd. I did this trail for first time with a buddy of mine. I rode the 2012/2013 HammerHead Thumper trail bike(like Koni Satori). It can't be overstated - bring water. What you think is enough, double it. Same with food. Bring simple sugar snacks, then endurance based snacks. Also, have all the tools needed to fix your bike on trail. I got a puncture at 3/4 mile mark and sealant wasn't sealing. I also broke a rear spoke shortly after at the 2nd mile mark. We were able to the bike repaired and pushed on. The heat and fatigue settles in at the UPS. Keep going, don't take too many breaks as time is limited. I am speechless at the riding experience, so much fun, but also brutal. It will test your bike, your mind, and your stamina to keep going. We did it in 6 hours total, 4 hours moving time. The wheel puncture and wheel spoke issue set us back about an hour. Then we helped a group of people at the top of Burro Pass.

    Your review of the Ibis Mojo 3 helped me get one, and I took it to Fruita and Moab with my son. We went in October, and intended to do The Whole Enchilada but they had snow on the peak and it was too muddy until Kokopelli where we started. OMG…..Porcupine Rim was the ride of a lifetime, and my Mojo 3 was happier than ever! Yes, we walked the Notch, but hit all the rest! Great review! Love your channel!

    This was freaking awesome Stefano. I have been waiting a really long time for this video. I've wanted to try TWE for a really long time but due to injury and whatnot have not been able to. Your video showed me what I kind of already knew, it's techie in some areas, but you can walk them. I am so glad you posted this. I gotta get a road trip planned! What month were you here? October?

    • @BlindstuffMTB
      @BlindstuffMTB  3 года назад +2

      This was late September. What you have to plan for the most for this ride is water and food. Its a looooong day on the bike, you'll be able to walk a lot of stuff if you want, no issue, but make sure you have enough supplies to last you comfortably.

    Hey Stefano, hope everything is going well for you. I know you've been really busy. Just been thinking about your videos and all you contributed to my growing passion for this sport/hobby. I have graduated to an eMTB because I have arthritis in my knees (and have had surgery in both already) and it's the only way I can go shred without being unable to walk for a few days after. I picked up a gopro this week and recorded my first ride with it today. (Apparently if you don't check your gopro's angle when you first start riding you'll end up with an hour of footage of your handlebars and front tire. Oof. ) It's hard to talk during riding. Your video style is probably what I'll lean towards because the voice over really makes a lot of sense for me since I prefer to just ride while I'm riding.
    Man it's really made me miss watching you ride. Gonna go back and binge all your videos again lol.
    Hope you and yours are all doing well. I never did make it down to Moab after watching this, and I don't have any hope to be able to any time soon--they have a blanket ban on all things motorized, even a wimpy entry level class 1 eMTB like I have (motor makes it possible to ride, but I still use my Eagle gear all the time to get up climbs). Anyway, I still have the bell rung just in case someday you drop a new video on us. Again, hope you are well. You made an incredible impact on my life in a very positive way with your videos and I can't thank you enough for inspiring me to keep trying to get out there and keep shredding when I'd basically lost all hope of ever being able to again.
    Dan

      Dan, I can't thank you enough for this message. For as long as I've been doing this, this is one of the most impactful comments I've received. I'm so happy to hear you've found a way to stay on the bike despite the challenges you've faced, its an honor to know i helped a little bit.
      Doing well on this side, still spending as much time as possible on the bike, I have tons and tons of video recorded, editing is what I'm struggling to find time to do.

    • @Giftig--Daniel-P
      @Giftig--Daniel-P 5 месяцев назад

      @@BlindstuffMTB I hear that. I'm just learning how to edit and I'm amazed that I can spend hours on a video to have it still look so incredibly amateur after.
      I know a guy who does it if you're interested. I keep freshwater fish and am a moderator on a fishkeeping discord with ~13,000 members, founded by an 84 year old man with a RUclips channel with somewhere around 250k subs (Father Fish). His editor is really good, does it full time. He charges $20/ hour. I can send him your RUclips if you want to see what he would estimate for time to edit a video of yours?

      You don't have to be a triathlete to finish it, but you definitely have to be in good base shape to be comfortable.
      Didn't train specifically for this one like i had to do for Mt. Elbert. 2 or 3x per week 1.5 hour on the bike was good.
