I've got 2 Pro Lites I haven't seen any reason to change for about 5 years

I used the Walcoms for 15 months. An x light for primer, the 360light base, the 360light clear, and ego190 0.7mm for cerakote as well as a 1.0mm and 1.2mm for smart repair. I also had 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4mm needle, nozzle, and caps for both 360light guns. They sprayed pretty good, all 4 were HTE but they didn't last and i take reallt good care of my stuff especially when the 360light's were $850/each, with the two extra neddle nozzle cap sets being $180/each for both the base and the clear models, and ego190 was $500. I switched to DV1's and should have gone with them to begin with.

It’s a Great Gun I use it On My Silver’s Too.I’m Spraying Two Coats of Base at 14 psi and then I Spray my drop coat at 7 psi if doesn’t Leave really any Over Spray on The Blend Panels. It Atomizes the Paint Perfectly. Another Great Video I live in California in the Central Valley it’s Starting to Heat Up Here we’re looking to be in the Upper 100’s Soon. Keep Up the Great Work Kandy Man!

Have to agree with you here Kandy Man, I used to use my GTI Pro 1.2 with the TE10 cap for base then about a year ago I got the DV1 base and clear gun and now the DV1 base gun is all I use for basecoat, I like the DV1 for clear but also use the Sata X5500 RP and my Iwata W400 for clear which are all great guns 👌🙏👍 John UK.

Looks good. I love my Tekna gun for clear. I got mine a couple years ago. Also, thought about trying the DV1. Before you apply your second coat of clear, do you check it to see if it's ready for the second coat? If so, do you wait for it to be hand slick or still sticky when applying the second coat

One of my bosses is trying to convince me to get the dv1 because it's so versatile for candy, metallics, and Pearl's but I own an lph400 and recently got the purple LVB air cap as its intended for what is stated above but it makes the gun LVLP putting out 110ml/min with a 1.4 tip and max pressure 14psi. Do you have any experience with the LVB if so how does it hold up to the dv1 capabilities?

I'm curious if the fluid nozzles are different between the base and clear dv1. I tried the B plus air cap on the clear gun, it's a clear coat cap they put on the base gun. It's between the c1 and c2. Been using the dv1 with the fan In 1 1/4 , 1.2 tip, 17 psi, 3-4 inches and really fast. Makes it fast for the clear I use and uses less material.

Fluid nozzle between the base and clear upon inspection looks the same except the clear nozzle tip is about .5mm longer compared to the base. I have sprayed the base nozzle with the clear c1 & c2 caps and honestly cannot tell the difference. So in if you already own a dv1 and don't want to buy the dv1 clear then just buy the air cap.

@@jeremyoetken2094 You must have microscopic eyes to detect the difference between the two, how was your testing? Back to back spraying clear one air cap after another or different panels? Same pressure same distance? I'm not in anyway trying to offend you with these questions just want to know more as to how you came to that conclusion? And also define what you mean by not as good? As in the peel not as good or atomisation or flatness not as good? Tighter peel or smaller peel? And just to confirm you've spray both dv1 base and clear nozzles with the clear caps and saw a noticeable difference?

@@kandyman5315 I agree 100% It is a nice gun but my complaints are the typical Devilbiss build up on the air cap ( everything is always spotless ) and some some reason the DV1 causes different color shade with the same batch of paint vs using a different gun . My sprayouts with gun X do not match what the DV1 produces . This is just my experience with Autowave. Peace
