Been a PR pro for two decades and can confirm Ariel to be a journalist, and actually a near extinct specimen at that. I can confirm that it would have been a big problem if I was doing UFC for Dana and having to deal with Ariel, just because we live in a post-truth world and Ariel still brings the truth out there. But even being a problem at my work I would still respect him for what he does and stands for. Cheers Ariel, you ain’t going away anytime soon and I’m happy for that as any sports fan should be.

Ariel is the closest thing we have to a Howard Cosell in this sport. He isn’t owned by anyone or any organization. He’s wholeheartedly dedicated to the sport, its fighters, and the truth. Value this man as a journalist because this sport has a lot of “yes men” and “company men” that are bland and just say/ask the safe questions that the organization is okay with.
