I’m a hardcore Islam fan, but I have a deep respect for Dustin Poirier. He’s a true warrior and a beautiful soul. Please, don't fight again-you’ve already achieved everything. God has blessed you with prestige, a championship belt, money, and a wonderful family. You gave it your all in your last fight, so let’s hang it up on a high note, champ. Plus even tho poirier performed very well in this fight and his last fight as well, I re matched some of his previous fights to see if his speed and reaction timing has declined and buddy it did, he clearly is declining in speed. I re watched his fight with (eddie, geathje, max, khabib) and compared his speed and reaction in his last two fights, poirier definitely slowed down, he was faster 5 years ago. He can compensate his decline in speed with his experience to a certain extent but there is limite to that too... Also it's a lil off topic but I wonder how much 302 did in ppv numbers,a journalist should ask him next time, since the ufc doesn't release the ppv numbers anymore.

Absolutely right! About wanting the diamond to come out victorious
Should had asked him how much did ufc 302 did in ppv.
Well? Good? Very good? Great? Tremendous?
Would be nice to do 1 retirement fight the FANS love him.
Love Dustin, always a warrior.
I can’t imagine what it feels like for Dustin not having the title in hand after the build up.. I know he’s been at it for ages but I feel like he has just hit his peak performance, confidence, fan base wise everything. He’s still right there at title contention.! Step back for a little let a few more people contest while being a back up fighter just in case
Dustin vs Justin 165lb Title/ New weight class intro fight.
Meh.....
I like 165 idea but these two have been LWs and forever. It’d basically be an opportunity for one of them to add “undisputed” to their resume but at the same time neither of them want to stay active for much longer.
And islam jumps to 165 to become double champ 😂
Would love to see dustin commentate. He seems really insightful and present in the moment when recalling fights. I bet he would be good at calling them.
He can have one farewell fight and Leave with a victory. But first take care of your health, get those operations done.
Or he can lose, keep trying to chase leaving on a win and end up retiring on a 4-5 fight losing streak. Just let him be! I guess if he is gonna fight maybe Dariush? But that's not really a big fight
He can fight Colby because they already got beef and then they both hopefully retire
Dustin has a very genuine manner, and articulates in a way which gives real insight into his experiences. Never excuses. No rationalizing. I can only feel real respect for him. An empathic guy. It's a shame he never became champ. He deserves it. He's been in so many memorable wars. He's a superb fighter.
7 fights left in the contract.Plenty of title shots to me.
Solid interview Ariel! Dustin Poirier is the man, a true legend of the sport, class act, an overall great guy and a perfect ambassador for the sport. Even without winning the belt, DP has had a Hall of Fame worthy career. 👏👏👏👏💎
Lmfao Dustin about to crack up when Ariel asked about his wife telling him to pull out
Damn, Arturo Gatti, Max and Dustin are my fav fighters of all time. I sincerely love this dude and I try to live my life raising three kids as a single Dad like this dude lives his. I'm nowhere close but, when I wake up and my feet touch the floor, I get another chance to do things right. I love how he says this is my story and things that happen in my life are mine.
My number 9 UFC best fighter in the World 🙏🏿🇺🇲🗺🗡
9? No way. Not even top 25. That's crazy. He's a legend no doubt.
DP will always be the man!
Dustin poirier will only return for a BIG payday
McGregor IV
he's good financially, his words not mine.. and he's beaten Conor twice , ppl keep throwing out these ideas of what they think Dustin should do but none of it makes sense.. let that man retire in peace, he's earned that
@@DynastyIcon not saying he need to do it. Just saying that if he wants the real money, he needs to fight McGregor what ever the outcome. Pretty sure it will be the number 1 ppv $$$
I"ve always been of a fan of just listening to this guys interview. The way he talks, just seems so knowledgeable. Theres always something to learn from it. Thats how I feel when I listen to a Tom Brady or a Kobe Bryant type interview.
DP is a dawg, man. He's climbed that ladder so many times and brought us along for the ride.
